Ohh man, I still remember the vapid stuff Bachmann and Santorum were spewing to attack Cain, Perry, Newt, or any candidate who happened to be on the top of the polls.

Exactly by what standard are conservatives seeing Santorum as the uber conservative? All he has is his pro-life credentials. Everything else is boring, tepid, noncommittal. At least Newt and Perry are offering a flat tax and other major reforms. Santorum can’t even support right-to-work laws.

Um, that’s only the most important part.

As for his fiscal conservativism, his plan is actually better than Paul Ryan. He’s promised cutting to 2008 levels immediately plus another 5 trillion in cuts over 5 years.

Good enough for me. Solves the immediate fiscal problem, and the long term fiscal problem. That’s what we want, right? A plan to get spending under control.

Good points, but Gingrich and Perry have really stepped in it with their attacks on capitalism. It looks like we are stuck with Santorum by default. At least we know he is pro-life. However, I don't know how he gains the perception of being an alpha male by wearing those sweaters.
