“Thats pretty much a given. How does Santorum stand out over Newt or Perry?”
Well for starters, Newt supported Hillarycare and has pushed for the individual mandate.
Perry supported Gardasil. Perry is also supportive of abortion in the case of rape and incest.
Santorum is way better than both on the prolife issue.
“Newt and Perry, who also have pro-life credentials that are, perhaps, even stronger than Santorums?”
Not on this planet. See above.
“I am not seeing an objective analysis of Santorums actual record here or his actual platform as compared to the others.”
I just quoted his actual platform in the case of spending. Go check it out.
That's false. Newt did not support Hillarycare,
... and has pushed for the individual mandate.
Newt was never for an individual mandate combined with a single payer a.k.a government run healthcare. That's the difference between Obama's individual mandates and what Newt wanted. Beyond that, the bigger problem is not so much mandated health insurance. The problem is mandated health treatment. You and I must pay for it while the dead beats, without insurance, get their healthcare treatment for free, mandated of course by the government.
Which of course brings up the mandated Percription Drug Plan that Santorum voted for, that you and I must pay for, that is far worse than what Newt wanted.
The criticisms on Newt are largely accurate. Gardasil is bunk. There was no “mandatory” requirement for it. And the reason he did it that way to begin with was merely to have insurance companies cover it. In other words, it was well intiontioned, and he backed off. It’s a completely empty attack.
Perry is 100 percent pro-life, even when it comes to rape and incest, which he has declared recently. His pro-life record in Texas is solid.
In other words, your standards are based on things that do not exist on this world.
Once I have caught you in one lie, I have to wonder how any others you are telling.
