Dog, in a carrier, on a car roof. Bad. Dog running around in the back of a pickup, good? Just asking.
Running downt to the vet would be bad enough, a 12 hour trip on the roof of a car? That takes someone who is so totally self absorbed they can't think of what that dog must have gone through.
Do people generally drive across country for 12 hours straight at 60-70 mph with their dog in the back of a pickup truck? Doubtful. Plus, at least in the bed of a pickup truck they have some room to move around and have some shielding from the winds, etc. Apparently there were laws against this sort of thing at the time, too.
I don’t think one incident like this necessarily disqualifies a person to be presidentthat isn’t the point IMO. But it does demonstrate weirdly callous judgment on his part and makes me wonder if it’s a consistent pattern of behavior that’s shown up in other ways.
Cripes, with 5 kids and a dog going on vacation it is not
evil to place a dog in a crate secured to a roof top for transport. They wanted the dog with them. That is bad? Did anyone ever see how some of the beagles are transported to the hunt or the fox hounds? Give me a break. Newt is getting a little nutty.
