David Rivkin, the lawyer who designed and argued the successful multi-state challenge to ObamaCare, is turning his guns on the latest and possibly the most egregious unconstitutional power grab by the Obama administration. Watch Rivkin in action on Lou Dobbs.

David Rivkin will be interviewed on Lou Dobbs Tonight on the Fox Business Network Friday, January 13 (7 to 8 p.m. EST) regarding a recent article he co-authored for The Washington Post about President Barack Obama’s claims that he can preempt state law whenever immigration policy “might irritate a foreign government.

If the president disagrees with a law, he must persuade Congress to change it. He cannot simply ignore it.

He cannot simply ignore it.

He most certainly can. He should not but he does anyway. That is why we know that in his heart he is a dictator.

Can Obama’s Imperial Power Grabs Be Stopped?

Yes, but the insider Washington establishment GOP won't like what it would take to stop and Emperor once he has been allowed to get power.

The Congress - both parties - are playing fast and loose with the Constitution, too. They are establishing Homeland inSecurity as the liberal elite party’s (the Rinos and the Dems.) KGB. They are totally violating the constitution in the name of terrorism but they switched the meaning of terrorism to focus on their political and social enemies within the US.

Why wouldn’t Obama, a Marxist Black Power kook from Chicago, think he and his Czars is free of the constraints of the constitution?

I think we have a better than even chance that both Obamacare’s individual mandate and the Arizona immigration stay will be overturned. One can dream, anyway.

If this happens it would be a huge victory for the Constitution, and, of course, the citizens of our country.

I am sorry to disagree with you.

The insider GOP establishment aren't going to do anything to slow down and reverse Obama’s power grab for one simple reason: they want the same powers once they reclaim the White House.

That is one of the many root causes of the Republic's problems when we became a nation of men instead of a nation of laws.

Until we get a President that actively rolls back illegal power grabs the Republic is doomed. Note that i said actively rolls back not promises to roll back.

You aren't disagreeing with me. The point I was trying to make, and obviously failing at, was that the insiders lack the courage to do what it would take to stop a dictator or emperor. This is why republics die.

In the French Revolution Maximilien Robespierre established himself as a dictator in much the same way as Obama is doing it today. He simply grabbing a little more power every day. Those who sang the songs of liberty and democracy failed to stop him at every turn. None of the "democrats" would stick their necks out (since Robespierre was so fond of removing heads from said necks). Napoleon Bonaparte finally put an end to Robespierre's insanity and reign of terror, but he was no fan of freedom or democracy.

Men like George Washington are quite rare. Tyrants like Robespierre, Bonaparte and Obama are unfortunately quite common. I fear that unless the insiders like Obama and Romney are turned out we will face a revolution. And in such a case the best we can hope for is a Cesar Americanas at worst a Stalinist dictatorship.

An understandable question. That is why this country is heading towards a split.
