It’s funny, you call in an air strike and everyone dies, but no one holds the pilot responsible.
You send in Marines and a civilian dies and they all want to hang the marine.
These men should be given an apology for this travesty of a trial and sent home.

The act of taking lives is relative. Since we all know that a bomb doesn’t make decisions, we can justify it by calling it acceptable collateral damage.
Apparently, that doesn’t apply to infantry.

Amen. In war you hate the other guy enough to kill him. He also hates you. There are no innocents. Everyone on the other side is an enemy, part of their war effort. In WW II artillery was called in to support the infantry. Shells did not make distinctions for killing. We welcomed it. It was us or them. Winner comes home, loser gets killed and pissed on. It’s war.
