This is what I get out of it:
1) Those draining the weasel are draining out their honor. Now if the taliban guys were alive and not bound, say the marines snuck up on them and pee’d off a roof onto them, then that takes brass balls. But this is without honor or bravery or anything. It’s pretty lame.
2) The guy who filmed it was dumb as a box of rocks for doing it and doubled down letting it into the public, whether by accident or otherwise.
3) Those that got filmed are even more dumb letting themselves be put on tape. And a tape out of their control!

It comes down to this: no honor, no merit, no gain, just dumb.

And they were stupid enough to video tape it. Surprised how many in here consider this to be honorable actions by the Marines. Guess they wouldn’t raise a fuss if the Taliban urinated on dead US troops.

Oh really? I'll bet you've never walked a mile in those Marines' boots.

I'd be willing to bet that those young men have watched friends and buddies get blown to bits by the Taliban. What sort of mindset do you think that produces in a person?

They're living in an absolute nightmare of hell, and you want to condemn them for 'relieving' a bit of their pent-up tension and rage? I say give them all kitchen duty for a week, and a little something extra in their pay envelope.

Yours is the first reply that I can understand. After growing up a military brat and then serving 23 years in the Army and Army Reserve, one thing I have learned: The difference between a mob and an army (or marine unit) is discipline. These Marines lacked discipline.

And they were stupid for allowing it to be recorded and posted online.

That said, I would give them an Article 15 for Conduct Unbecoming. The powers that be are going to want a Court Martial for every charge they can find.
