Do these stomach crusaders, these modern day abolitionists, take no lesson from history? Top down societal engineering does not work. Especially not in this country. We the people won’t sit idly by and be rationed bread and water just because a bunch of rich politicians think we’re too fat and talk funny and believe grits are a real thing. The phrase “cold, dead fingers” comes to mind.

There is no idea so dumb, so outdated, or so destructive, that liberals can’t pounce on it. Indeed, those are the three qualities most sure to attract them.
If you are an upcoming NYC high school graduate, your future is in smuggling and black marketing. Just a little initiative and imagination, a little start up cash, and a major fool (Mayor Bloomberg) running the city to develop ready markets.
Maybe the State Dept. can help the Sinaloa Cartel set up a network of NYC speakeasies.
