Here in San Antonio we had Durango Blvd. A steet so named for over a hundred years. The majority of property owners on Durango Blvd. liked the name and did not want the City to change it. But our hispanic City Council wanted to stick it to the whities and rename it Cesar Chavez.

It got ugly. It even went to court. The majority of SA citizens wanted to keep the name Durango Blvd. But after spending $100,000.00; the hispanics at City Hall got their way.
