Mitt Romney had a remarkable exchange on NBC this morning that may not be as attention-grabbing about his fire people gaffe but may actually be just as revealing and significant. And I hope it gets some attention.
In it, Romney suggested that concerns about Wall Street conduct and inequality are driven by envy, and even said we neednt have a public debate about inequitable wealth distribution in this country.

The lines between business and government get more blurred with each passing day.
Yes, I do. Never listen to him, never could stand his radio show. It is just GOOFY and borders on insane with they way those two carry on, only they get the joke.
Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t “When Mitt Romney Came to Town” produced by Breitbart or someone working for him now?
Listening to Newt getting drilled by some British reporter, and Newt is swatting the questions away like a fly.
He is so fast on his feet. You either like or hate him, but Man he’s good at it. This guy is trying to get him to tell us what he thinks about Romney as a person, to make a statement about his character.
He keeps asking, finally Newt says, “There is nothing about that question that compells me to answer it.”
“Well what do you think of Romney?”
Newt: “I don’t.”
“You have no comment on the man’s character?”
Newt: “I’m not here to provide a psychoanalysis of Mitt Romney.”
“Would you work for him?”
Newt: (long pause) “No, and I don’t think he’d want to work for me either.”
Hahahahaha.....Great stuff. Will not be a dull moment if Newt is in the WH.
I am livid what Beck has become. I have no answer except Beck has gone nuts.
Then you have Rick Perry, a good, decent and a gentle guy, but when he’s asked a question, it’s like the question goes into his ears, and it’s cycling through all the neurons and memory banks for several seconds while in the meantime he’s spilling out some nonsensical answer, until by the time the reporter asks the same question for the fifth time, a direct answer comes out. I think that’s what makes it frustrating.
Don’t get me wrong, it takes years of handling thousands of questions to do what Newt now does fairly effortlessly. Romney is good at is too, but not nearly as original and quick as Newt. Obama is getting better, but has never had to deal with a tough Q & A.
Envy? That should play well. My gosh he sounds like a Monarch already. Keep digging Mitt.
And the GOP elite thinks this kind of talk will beat obama? Proof positive they want obama to win.
Not Breitbart. It was produced by a guy that was on team Romney producing some of Romney’s ads during the 2008 election.
miit is just another communist that hates America and loves evil.
LLS
Yep, and yesterday mittens said that what he did at Bain was no different than what Obama did with the car companies. Can you say “open mouth insert foot”?
Romneynomics = Obamanomics
Romneycare = Obamacare
Could we just get a candidate that is not Obama lite?
No wonder he doesn’t talk to reporters.
I think I might.
I read on another thread:
Bain owns Clear Channel. That's Rush, Beck and Hannity.
Keep THAT in mind as you STILL continue to listen to them.
Listen REAL hard.
All true.
In addition their ultimate objective is to tax (’take away’) from the people they claim they want to give to.
The strategy should be obvious: get us addicted to stuff the government gives us while claiming only the rich will pay, then when the bill comes due (and we are close) have all the experts tell us that we have no choice but pay higher taxes to save the country. Then offer even higher taxes ‘on the rich’ as a emotional chaser so we don't mind the taxes as much.
One party state Maryland is a perfect example : Dems got complete power and raised two symbolic taxes on ‘the rich’ and to collect the REAL revenue : state sales taxes, alcohol taxes and just announce a gas tax increase is next. OHHH yes; and they passed a Perry type Dream act to spend some of that money, even though they claim we are broke. Dem Gov O Malley calls college for illegals ‘critical investments’
I don't think that is what Newt is up to here, I don't think Newt has any set of fixed principles beyond "What is good for Newt' . To him this is just an opportunity.

Typical alcoholic mindset...Glenn claims to be "recovering" but there's a lot more to recovery from alcoholism than stopping drinking.
I was married to an alcoholic who fantasized about many things AND completely believed the fantasies. Another sign of alcoholism is grandiosity..and Glenn has that in large quantities.
Guess it is time to dust off this old photoshop.;)
A great number of us believe that capitalism is the best economic model available for a free people. We do not, however, all agree that every capitalist is suitable to be president. Governor Romney has been very successful in characterizing any question about his business practices as being an attack on the free enterprise system.
Capitalism is good. Romney is a capitalist. Therefore Romney is good.
This false syllogism has so far been used to good effect to discredit efforts to examine his record. It is a practice often used in politics, sometimes successfully and sometimes not. We will see how long he can hold out.
I left Beck when Beck left Faux.
I think Beck could be well on his way to a mental break down.
He is grandiose and seems like he’s in a 24 hour state of mania.
I pay no attention to him, save for the little I read about him here...LOL.
