Cool story!
In general I agree. It really depends on the shoot boss. Some are amazing people. Some I wouldn’t let walk my dog.
The group in general, as with their leader, could learn a simple lesson: verbosity is not generosity.
I was amazed at how much I learned at my first Appleseed event.

The Appleseed project is two days of shooting. Kids under 21 get in for $5, women for $10, men over 21 for $70. They will teach you how to shoot very well and it is fun for all.
I am hoping that one of the shooting ranges in Houston will step up and host the event this year. I have a number of shooters who wish to go.

I agree. I learned more about shooting well with a rifle in one day with them, than I'd ever learned before. I attended with a friend and co-worker who had previously introduced me to the John C. Garand matches.
He earned his rifleman 3 times over in the same weekend. They were so impressed, they asked him to help them train at future events.
For those of you who have kids:
The single most powerful behavior modification technique in the Universe is the withdrawal of shooting privileges for being bad or for not making grades.
Salute, Cindy. I hope to earn my Rifleman Patch this spring at Appleseed.
Congrats to her!
Th AQT test is not easy.
