They should do the sane thing and expel violent children if they don’t have the capacity to heal the kid. They should not add to the abuse.

I trust the integrity of public schools as much as I trust the integrity of Stalin’s regime. Too many are abusive, amoral and mean bullies enjoying a power trip. Follow teacher uions members around the Internet a bit and you will see what I mean. I would not let many of them take care of my cats let alone my children. Too many taboos governing adult interaction with children have been erased.

Public schools, because too many radical twisted freaks have moved in with dominance, are now dangerous to the well being of kids and families. They are like mental institutions or prisons lording over their inmates.

I agree with you on some points.

I've been on FR since 1996, reg repub, have teaching degree myself & wife has been spec ed teacher entire life; we are very conservative people.

Time out rooms work like this: Kid goes in screaming, swearing, kicking the padded walls. Kid then starts crying, kid then starts begging. Kid then talks about their actions with teacher and once kid realizes he shouldn't/can't live this way in society; back into classroom he goes. Happens over and over everyday all across America. We can't turn these kids into the streets. Parents aren't parenting, so our Nation's schools & teachers are forced to do it. Teachers hate it as much as anybody; just the way our country is going, sad.

Please, spare us the hysterics. You make the public school system sound like a Charles Dicken's novel.
As bad as some teachers, schools, principals, and administrators may be individually, public schools in general are NOTHING like you claim.
Quite frankly, you sound like you're making all this up to justify something.
