Former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has called for Gov. Mitt Romney to release his tax returns, as well as the data that could substantiate his claim of having created 100,000 jobs as CEO of Bain Capital.
Romney has resisted releasing his tax returns, and his campaign has thus far refused to provide the hard proof to back up his claims about Bain.
Governor Romney has claimed to have created 100,000 jobs at Bain, and people are wanting to know: is there proof? Palin told Sean Hannity on Fox News.
Rick Tyler, former Gingrich aide and head of Newt Gingrichs Super PAC, has already accused Romney of having created those 100,000 jobs in Asia and Mexico. Earlier this week, Big Government pointed out that Romneys claim to have created 100,000 jobs contrasts with claims he made during his 1994 U.S. Senate campaign, when he claimed to have created 10,000 jobs at Bain. Romney retired from Bain Capital in 1999.
Palin said that Romney needed to come clean about his record, given the likelihood that Democrats would probe the tax issue and Romneys tenure at Bain if he were to become the Republican nominee.
The former Alaska governor also told Hannity that she did not think it was inevitable that Romney would become the Republican nominee.
The majority has not yet coalesced around one, she said, adding that conservatives were still searching for the right free market, pro-military candidate to back.
Maybe? He said it - this ‘self proclaimed’ businessman has to back it up! It’s about time someone took him to task and get this guy vetted and kicked to the curb.
Rush explained this yesterday. you would be better off to report straight from the source than something you “read”.
If he gets the nomination, he can offer to disclose them in return for Obana's school transcripts and original birth certificate.
“what powers exist that can still tell Rush what he can and cant say (in terms of political content)?”
Great question.
Specific to Clear Channel or any other private company, management can do what it pleases. They could oust Rush, for any reason, real or fabricated. (I worked in HR for years; I’ve seen outlandish fabricated “reasons” for getting rid of someone.)
And in America, sadly, the Fairness Doctrine still rears its ugly head often. I suppose King B. Hussein could make another decree, this time to make his political enemies STFU. If that were in place for the next president, it wouldn’t be good on any level since it stifles the First Amendment.
Things have become so confusing with the dem and GOP machines becoming so blended.
Oh but FOX and others on there have said so and it is astounding to me that I read on here that because a talk show host or someone on FOX said it then they go and follow like sheep.
Romney is a snake who is taking us for granted, nothing much will change under Romney, liberal judges will be appointed, homosexuals serve openly, planned parenthood gets money etc.
He is in this for his self and family and couldn’t give a crap about the country, conservatives etc.
"Bain disputes the Journal's calculations, but one test of overall success is whether investors keep entrusting a firm with their money. Mr. Romney and his colleagues raised $37 million for their first fund in 1984. Today, Bain Capital manages roughly $66 billion. Its investors include college endowments and public pension funds that have increased their investments in private equity to get larger returns than stocks and bonds provide. The people who benefit from those returns thus include average workers.
Bain's turnaround hits include Sports Authority and tech-research outfit Gartner Inc., which was once a small division of an advertising firm and is now a public company worth more than $3 billion. Another success was Steel Dynamics, which used Bain money to build a new steel factory and now employs 6,000 people.
One Bain investment during Mr. Romney's tenure was to back an entrepreneur named Tom Stemberg, who was convinced he could provide savings for small-business owners if they were willing to shop at a store instead of taking deliveries. Today, the Staples chain of business-supply stores employs 90,000 people.
Bain also backed a start-up called Bright Horizons that now manages child-care centers for more than 700 corporate clients around the world. Many other venture bets failed, but that's capitalism, which is supposed to be a profit and loss system."
I'm not...As long as he would eliminate the jobs of the people that send billions of our dollars to our muzlim and communist enemies on a regular basis...What do you s'pose are the chances of that???
And eliminating the people who shell out our money to the IMF and the World Bank???
don’t count on most talk show hosts or the likes of Hannity.
They all hang out with cross dressing homosexuals etc and do not want to upset their cocktail party pals.
They know backing a true proper conservative would piss their queer, liberal pals and sponsors off so they look towards the establishment.
Lets face it the primaries are done in a way where the establishment can get rid of a proper conservative and give their man the momentum .
Nh an open north east small state, MMMMM Why is that and why have Dems vote in our primaries and why have the likes of NBC, ABC politico do our debates?
In the end it all goes down to money , power, and cocktail parties for most of them and especially the likes of Hannity couldn’t a give a crap about conservatives, proper conservatives not he half baked socially liberal phony’s
Let’s make “Transparency” an issue for this election. No more buying based upon empty promises. We found out the last election where that gets us! If we are to judge a tree by the fruit it bears, we want to see the fruit, all of it. Not just the few good ones.
This includes all the documents withheld by O’Bummer and his Czars.
Cast no vote for a candidate who is hiding something! It’s all relevant. NO SHOW, NO VOTE!
you’ll have his groupies after you, LOL.
We all know or should do that most of talk radio does what their sponsors want, hell even beck admitted this and got out from them.
Hannity when was the last time he mentioned social issues, Jennings, hell when did most of them mention any of this issues?
Talk radio wit the tens of thousands of listeners could have stopped Romney but they won’t they will repeat what Drudge puts up on his site and leave it at that.
When will this uneducated woman go away? What can she “prove?” From what I saw of her TV show she couldn’t even prove she had been fishing even though she claimed she had tons of fishing and hunting experience. Sara, please be quiet unless you can prove what you are talking about.
Do you agree with John Bolton?
vetted did you forget the sarc tag
Romney says what ever he can to get what ever he wants, he is a snake, he’;s very liberal socially, homosexuals , cross dressing, hell when the queers support him then you know he is not a conservative
Then there is his health care which bozo the clown used to pass his.
Romney is getting support from the MSM just like McCain and this will go the same way and even if Romney won then the left have nothing to fear as nothing will change .
Do you honestly think Romney would close the border to illegals or stop their welfare?
have you seen what kind of judges Romney appointed in MA.
I had to live there when he was Gov and he was a snake then too .
“proof”. That is a good one to hear Palin ask for “proof”. Gotta be a misquote.
I mean after the shallacking she took and takes to this day regarding her son and what “proof” entails to some people.
Newt and Rick need to come and talk to each other and one of them drop out and let the other become VP.
Perry is done.
Our votes are being split and we’re letting this RINO liberal socially snake be our nominee
Romney has hardly been touched, and won't be until after he becomes the nominee, if he does.
The MSM is saving Myth for the senior prom. Then they'll leave him standing alone in the center of the dance floor. As they did with McCain. As they do with every moderate Republican they favor.
It's coming. You know it.
