To: true believer forever

Well, we’ve only really known him for his solid foreign policy stances. In other arenas, he might be for big-government and big-spending, not giving one whit about the deficit. Similarly, he could be a big gay-marriage supporter and an all-out lefty libertine on social issues.

That’s why I never jumped on the idea of him as a candidate whenever the notion circulated around. At least, until I knew about whether his supposed ‘conservatism’ indeed spread to other issues. Which I now find highly doubtful, if he’s supporting Romney.

I thought I remembered him being liberal on some social issues. From googling, I just found a few unreliable sites saying that he is gay-friendly but pro-life. Overall, I gather that he only really cares about national defense issues.

I just googled "John Bolton social issues," and the top result was a National Review post from 12/8/10. I mention this because I thought it was ironic that one of the only fourteen comments on that post was "This is a hilarious joke. I liked Bolton, but come on! Will there be a Rick Santourm profile next!" Of course, the top of the page has the cover of the current issue, which profiles Santorum.
