actually , just looked at the internals again and i was a bit confused.

I thought it said blacks were 22% of the sample. the 22 was actually the total # of blacks. Out of 720 or so. So they were 3% or so.

I don’t think that’s enough to really matter. But it might be. If Newt can get that up to 5% or more and win them handily it could be the difference if it’s close among white voters.

I'm pretty sure those stats were drawn from the perspectives of black voters on the Republican race - not their voting preferences (which are going to be for Obama by 90% or better).
