The video, which was posted on YouTube and other websites, shows four men in camouflage Marine combat uniforms urinating on the bodies of three dead Taliban.
One of them jokes: "Have a nice day, buddy." Another makes a lewd joke about a shower.

"While we have not yet verified the origin or authenticity of this video, the actions portrayed are not consistent with our core values and are not indicative of the character of the Marines in our Corps," the Marines said in a statement.
"This matter will be fully investigated."
Two U.S. military officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the video appeared to be authentic at first look but Reuters could not independently verify the video or its source.

And as someone who was in Iraq twice,I can honestly say I never understood this kind of attitude.We had a whole bunch of guys take out their frustrations on Iraqis,film it,then get locked up in Prison.
If this is legit,these guys effectively destroyed their military and just pissed it away.......and for what?

Stupidity shouldn't be rewarded. These men are young enough to understand the internet age. They should be smart enough to know never, ever do something like this on camera. As for the act itself I file this one in the category of "I disagree with your actions but I understand why you did it."

Not for sport or trophy but ears, scalps and heads were used for bounties, and bounties paid would get this war over a lot quicker. Seems bounties are on American heads in Afghan as well as Washington.
The biggest mistake here was to video tape it.
