Lots of celebrities want to meet the president and they often come with their own pet requests: Sign this or that, take a picture with my kid, how can I steal a hand towel from a White House bathroom?
But Snoop Dogg wants something different. The rapper (real name: Calvin Broadus) has been a longtime advocate for the legalization of marijuana (and a frequent user of it) and spoke to Hot 99.5s Toby Knapp about the subject and how he might convince President Barack Obama to support a change in the countrys drug laws.
Before I even said Hi to President Obama, I would change the aroma of the room. And then we could start conversing after we had that aroma change. You know what Im talking about? (transcript via Jezebel). Snoop also proposed to have rapper Wiz Khalifa do the same, adding, They legalized alcohol, they legalized tobacco. What is it gonna hurt to legalize this medicinal, medical marijuana thats used for purposes of cataracts?
Obama is opposed to the legalization of marijuana.
Is why they call it dope yo!
[ Obama is opposed to the legalization of marijuana. ]
I don’t believe this for a New York second.
A more accurate statement would be: Obama is politically opposed to the legalization of marijuana.
Just going to toss in the mix the decriminalization of said weed. just me.
Boy, that Hot 99.5 sounds like my kind of station. Snoop Dog interviews? Swell! I am sure their music would suit me perfectly.
Snoop was calling collect from Sierra Blanca looking
for a Presidential Pardon.
Yo my prizzle...why not legizzlise the shizzle?
It really is terrific that Calvin is so concerned with the treatment of cataracts.
Foshizzle!
I think Barry has stated a preference for “blow”.
This just in:
Snoop Dog arrested for marijuana possession.
50% of Americans want it decriminalized. That number is only going to grow.
What a shock...he walks the walk!
