Bill Daley tells ABC News that he resigned last week as chief of staff, as first reported by the Los Angeles Times.
Senior administration officials confirm that Jacob “Jack” Lew, the current director of the Office of Management and Budget, will be the new chief of staff.
Daley was brought in to replace Rahm Emanuel, but in November his role was “changed,” with more power given to senior adviser Pete Rouse. At the time White House officials insisted the move was in no way a demotion, but it certainly wasn’t a vote of confidence.

This is the second member of the Chicago mafia to bail on the Obamas. Rahm Emanuel parachuted before being pushed out. Daley did not have as dignified of an exit.

Maybe it’s only superficial but even the mob is abandoning him. Indicative of how illegally toxic the Obozo really is.
Either the Daleys are going Galt, or he is retreating to Chicagostan to defend what is left of the family fiefdom, and to work on Obama’s re-election with absolutely no media scrutiny.
There is something not quite right about this administration, as people come into positions of responsibility, and then apparently have none.

Obama’s a narcissist. Narcissists are void of empathy, and they become compulsive micro-managers when placed in a position of power. Obama must be impossible to be around, much less work for. He’s obviously authoritative in style, so there is no team, no fulfillment from working for him on the part of the underlings, because credit has to be wrestled from him.
