We're speaking about Newt, here. And yeah - I'm very sure Newt - like most Catholics - is not an evangelical Christian.

They are Catholics.

Evangelicals are a category of their own, as are Catholics.

Value judgement comments such as can’t Catholics be evangelical merely confuse.

However a Catholic conducts himself or herself, he or she is still a Catholic.

Evangelicals are a seperate, recognized category.

They don’t believe in the Pope and other aspects of Catholicism.

And Catholics do not accept some of the basic tenets of Evangelicals.

This isn’t hair splitting. It’s the real world...the religious world, that is.
