This resolution condemns the decision of Lowe’s Companies, Inc., to withdraw its advertising from the TLC series “All-American Muslim” because the subjects of the show are Muslims. The people of the State of New Jersey take great pride in the diversity of our State and our Nation. The tens of thousands of Muslim-Americans who call New Jersey home work hard to raise their children, earn a living, and serve their communities, just like everyone else. Lowe’s should be condemned for its shocking and insensitive insult of Muslim-Americans and its corporate management is urged to reconsider its decision and reinstate the advertisements.

I have purchased close to $500 from Lowes since the article appeared. I intend to make all my future home improvement purchases from them.

I sent Lowes an email expressing support and telling them that I will look to them first over Home Depot, (I’m equidistant from the two).

Furthermore, All-American Muslim is on the chopping block because of low viewership. The state senate resolution wants Lowe’s to reinstate its advertising on All-American Muslim. That’s pretty hard to do once the axe comes down at the end of the season.

I did send Lowe’s an email, said a good part of our decision to spend our $900 at Lowe’s was due to they do not try to promote Islam as normal and peaceful by advertising on the Muslim show.

Better still why not write to these two and tell them that perhaps they should also enter a resolution condemning Liberal Italian Legislators for being morons. Maybe we do have more than our share of problems here in California but New Jersey is off the charts. Just saw a home purchase show on TV where the buyer was considering a crackerbox in NJ that was selling for $139,000 and was likely to have to pass because the property taxes were $7,000 a year. I pay less than that for a 4,000 sf home that’s valued at $2million!
Lowes should shut down all its operations in Jersey and if necessary come back with a different name. Or better yet leave the state completely and take the jobs with them. I’m betting that Lowes doesn’t have the minerals.
Oh, yeah, that's what we pay. See my screenname. There are neighborhoods here with homes like yours, and those owners are paying around $20,000/year in property taxes. NJ property tax rates are the highest in the nation because every little town here has its own school district, police department, etc. Every township is like a little fiefdom. That's what I learned from the NJ FReepers when I first came here.
Property taxes aside, NJ is not worse than California overall. Based on what I've been reading, CA has become off-the-charts socialist. It's a shame because your state is beautiful. Been there twice. Wanted to move there at one point, but I thought I could never afford it. Now I'm living in NJ - so the joke is on me, I guess.

Our family had a Merry Christmas at Lowes too! We purchased a new water heater, washer and lots of lumber... they got about $1,500.00 worth of my business! My local Lowes manager said that they have been much busier lately.
