I have never been given the pink slip but I can empathize with people who do. I certainly am not saying that Romney one way or another but to blanket say that it is impossible to feel for people who lose a job is ridiculous. That is what I can’t stand about the media when they make these big sweeping statements. The media is basically bashing the conservatives who are unable to feel for people who are rich. No to Romney for real but let’s not say things that cannot be proven. Romney may be more empathetic than all of us put together.

I think unless you’ve received one and have a family depending on you, you CAN’T comprehend what it feels like.
It’s like thinking you can feel how horrible it is to lose a child.
Mitt has no clue.

One of the most satisfying days of my life was when I learned that the fellow who had given me a pink slip was gone 2 months later(rumors were they were for “conflict of interest and ethical reasons). I now wonder if he didn’t throw me under the bus in an effort to save his butt.
That is why he is (once again) stretching the truth past the point of credulity by suggesting that he indeed at some point in his very privileged life he suffered deprivations (on his mission to Paris in swanky accommodations) and financial worry.
It is a bad narrative based on an erroneous assumption. I don't care if a candidate had a privileged life - but I don't want to hear tall tales about the multimillionaire losing sleep worrying about a possible pink slip.
