According to the Quinnipiac Poll released Monday, Romney leads the field among Florida Republicans with 36 percent of the vote, followed by Newt Gingrich with 24 percent, then Rick Santorum at 16 percent. Behind them, Ron Paul has the support of 10 percent of Florida Republicans, Rick Perry has five and Jon Huntsman trails with two percent. The poll also found that 54 percent of Florida Republicans say they could change their minds in the coming weeks.

I feel the same way. I feel strongly that if this becomes a two man race, Newt will win vs Romney. ONly 4 delegates in NH. SC is a cross over state. I think FL will be the key.
Can’t see Santorum, Perry or the others in after FL, so if Newt can hang in there, he’ll get us all to coalesce behind him.
I think at that point you’ll see Palin, maybe even Rush backing Newt.
Mitt is still polling at zero in my household.
Get your eyes checked. Your statement is a vile lie. Anyway, I am Catholic and support Santorum but also would support any of the three.
I have tried very hard to not bash any of the GOP candidates that might end up running against the Marxist Kenyan and I’m fine with Santorum, Perry, or Gingrich. I will vote in the general election, regardless of who runs against Barry HUSSEIN Soetoro....Mr.”we are 5 days away from fundamentally changing the Unites States of America”.
He is now blatantly giving everyone the middle finger and doing whatever the hell he wants to do. Have those new non recess appointments that he called recess appointments, been tackled by the GOP yet as completely dictatorial and unconstitutional? Don’t hold your breath. If anyone thinks he’s been bad the first 3 years, let me assure you, that you haven’t seen anything yet. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I can just hear big Wookie now...” Let me tall you one thing Baracko buckaroo, those honkies can kiss my big fat a$$ after you get re-elected. I’ll go where I want, use AF1 or 2 when I want, buy what I want, when I want and there’s nothing you can do about it and they will pay for it and foot the bill, they owe me”.
That said.... do you really think Santorum can get votes from the independents? If he can, then great. I have my guess what a match up between the Marxist and Santorum would look like on election day.
GO NEWT!
I don’t agree. If Santorum finished ahead in NH which it seems that is going to happen than the other two should drop out. I will take all three but it is getting dangerously close for Newt and perry to drop out Wednesday. Hopefully after Santorum beats them, they will realize that Santorum is the RIGHT choice.
The only proof I have that Santorum is doing great is the latest poll in NH where Santorum is beating Newt and Perry. I think that means that the people want Santorum. That is what it used to mean anyway. The people of Iowa have spoken but some people want Santorum to drop out. That is completely absurd.
You know. You take one part of the post and use that for your agenda as always. Did you read the poll in NH? No of course not. That would take principles.
So you want one of the liberal voting blocks, with an open primary, to decide which faces Romney?
Yeah, but you forgot to say that you believe in the tooth fairy also.
The odds that Santorum beats Newt in NH are about as likely as donkeys flying.
I do. So what. Stay on topic.
Insert any name into Candidate B's and Candidate C's slot and you have the mantra for the last year on FR.
I know! There needs to be a behind-closed-doors meeting of the Powers That Be to decide the nominee, and the rest should be given assurances of plenipotentiary positions to come, and bow out. We may NEED a right wing nanny after this left wing mess, just to balance things out.
I know this is a surpise, but I vote for Newt. Those who think Rick S. has a shot of beating either Mitt or Obama are living in a fantasy world. I have seen this story before. Newt before it is too late.
Conservatism wins every time it’s tried. Stop urging moderation. Moderation in defense of liberty is no virtue.
I don’t know but I thought Santorum gave Romney quite a beating during the debates. Maybe you did not watch them. I like Newt for VP. He is a big idea guy who has a problem implementing so if Newt gives the ideas than President Santorum can decide what to take and what not too and implement them. Newt is great with platitudes. I just worry that he will at some point during the campaign will say something really crazy and destroy our chances. He is a good guy but not for the big boy position. He is just to risky. Santorum is a steady hand which is needed right now.
I highly doubt Santorum can win Florida. Not a chance. The entire SE Debbie Wasserman Crazy lady Schultz territory is mostly yankees snowbirds that got tired of the crappy weather and high taxes in their states and came down here to eff up ours. Newt or Mittens might, and I say MIGHT, get a few SE coast votes, Santorum, no way in hell. Those liberal whackjobs love their homos and Santorum’s very vocal stance on homos gives him no chance in that densely populated area. I agree with Santorum, but they don’t.
I’ve been asking around a lot and I’ve had friends and family in other parts of the state asking other Republicans who they want and I’m not going to say what I am hearing, let’s just say, I doubt Santorum has any chance here unless something drastically changes. I think Newt could possibly beat Mittens here, but it’s between those 2, unless something drastically changes. I don’t think Barry the Kenyan will win Florida again. He cannot take the I-4 corridor, he fooled people once, they aren’t falling for it again.
