Iran has begun uranium enrichment at a new underground site well protected from possible airstrikes, a leading hardline newspaper reported Sunday.
The announcement came as another newspaper quoted a senior commander in the country's powerful Revolutionary Guard as saying that Tehran's leadership has decided to order the closure of the strategic Strait of Hormuz if the country's oil exports are blocked.
Iran is under U.N. sanctions for refusing to stop uranium enrichment -- which can produce both nuclear fuel and fissile warhead material -- and other suspected activities that the international community fears could be used to make atomic arms.
Tehran says it only seeks reactors for energy and research, and refuses to halt its uranium enrichment activities.

the old bunker busters were good to 1000’ below ground. I wonder how the new and improved version does.
Killing the little buggers is certainly desirable and useful, but all we have to do is destroy the ventilation system and collapse the exits. Let them suffocate in their tombs. It is also gratifying to complate what would happen to all that fissile material left unattended while the Iranians try to dig it out.
If it wasn't against the Laws of Land Warfare... I'd say play the Barney song or Justin Beiber 24/7 while they WISHED we HAD hit the vent system.
