It died because we have no legitimate spokesperson running for president. Why aren’t the non-Romney clowns consistently and rabidly attacking Romney on his record as a governor in MA? This debate was pathetic, and they are handing Romney the nomination. They’ve had 14 debates to take him down and they haven’t laid a hand on him. What a bunch of clowns.

The only 3 reasons I can think of why they have not been tougher on Romney.

1. They are afraid of what his Pac Money Can Do.

2. They want to be his VP

2. They want to serve in his administration. (if he wins)

You said it. That debate was UTTERLY pathetic. The fix is in. They want Romney and are going to make sure they get him.

I will never vote for him. He is the GOP Hussein.

It died because the people we worked so hard to elect, turned on us so fast that we said why bother.

Yeah, Alan West, Pat Toomey, Charlie Bass and the rest of you that compromised (i.e., sold out) your principles, I’m calling you out. Normally, I’d say “We put you in, we’ll take you out”; but why bother, the next person will be just as bad.

Time to realize that government isn’t going to change, no matter who is elected. The regime won’t go away, until and unless, we the people take it upon ourselves.

There’s that.

Another major factor IMO is how little the tea partied-up Congress has done—absolutely nothing to cut spending or defund Obamacare, to start.

We had Palin and Cain, both proud to be associated with the Tea Party. It is not our fault they were not up to the task. We believed in them. I didn’t care if Cain had that 13 year affair. We needed him anyway. And palin’s family was very similar (as her reason for choosing not to serve us) to the family she had the previous three years when she spent a lot of tome serving us and setting a path of stone to dc.

Newt is a consistent Mitt downer. He is in full mitt attack mode more or less all the time

Bingo! We have a winner here.

It died because anyone who was elected on their principles quickly found out the Old Guard in the GOP quickly put the new puppies in the kennel of “go along to get along.”

The other reason is that the Tea Party did not organize into a single group with a potential for that group to organize into a third political party if no one conservative enough was selected (notice I did not use the word elected) by the presidential nominating committee of the GOP. We already know who is selected.

If the GOP selectee is not compatible with conservatives, the Tea Party will only survive if a conservative third party rises by the name of “Tea Party” or some other name that indicates freedom. If not, the party will simply fade away.

Once again, you are right...a named leader of the Tea Party should be selected and become the focal point of the party.
