Mitt Romney’s position as Republican frontrunner has been solidified after he emerged unscathed from a debate in which his rival sniped against each other but appeared to be observing a non-aggression pact against the man leading in the polls.

The most explosive moments in the debate in New Hampshire, which holds its primary election on Tuesday, came in the de facto contest for second place.

Romney advisers, who had expected their candidate to be the main focus of attacks, were clearly relieved afterwards.

Rick Perry: ‘I would send troops back into Iraq.’

Rick is not the master of the one minute answer. You can bet that this will be made into something that it most certainly was not. He was NOT talking about an invasion, only a re-negotiation of the status of forces agreement that was intentionally flubbed by the Obama administration, opening up Iraq (and all our blood and treasure expended there) to a major fail. Shame on us for allowing this to happen. Perry is absolutely right. Obama has squandered it all.

"Mitt Romney’s position as Republican frontrunner has been solidified after he emerged unscathed from a debate..."

Ridiculous. There's been exactly ONE primary vote, and Mitt certainly didn't win that.

Toby Harnden is probably some liberal Brit, writing for the Daily Mail UK. Eff 'im. He doesn't have the first clue about how this works.

Mittens hasn't "solidified" sh*t.
