"Yes, that would be a dream ticket but Perry has to be at the topic of the ticket." Uh.. did you mean Perry has to be at the top of the ticket?
I would agree with that. However, I doubt that Newt would agree to be Perry's VP. I also doubt that any candidate in the debate would agree to be VP - with the possible exception of Huntsman.

"Yet ABCs ANALysts are saying no one put a glove on Mitt, no one showed why he should not be the nominee..."I don't know what these assclowns were watching, but I saw several times where Santorum, Perry and Newt tied his policies directly to Obama....that's enough reasoning for anyone with a brain for not electing Romney.

Newt set up a few attacks on him, but the MSM wouldn’t let it gain any traction and would switch to other candidates after. They’re protecting Romney a bit.

Newt was my favorite he clearly has brains, but he used them to express substance, not on empty populist rhetoric. Ive been critical of Perry, but other than that Iraq war commentary, he did very well in this debate. Santorum was so-so.Agreed, and and these are my preferences, in your order of presentation. Anyone but Obama, Romney, and Paul.

I was surprised Gingrich was timid on Romney. Thats the biggest surprise to me. His questions were limited so he chose to use his time getting his points in rather that attack Romney.

Oh, I think he generates plenty of ideas. Some probably wont ever come to fruition like a part-time congress, but I think he has a few ideas.

Im not sure on that. Perry was just starting to get the real vetting...and it was looking pretty rough (as we here in Texas know it would be). The early debates did end it for him, but he was about to have a LOT MORE to deal with right after that.
Definitely, Perry never got the same level of vetting that Bachmann, Cain, Gingrich, and now Santorum received. He never had to explain his friends that were lobbyists, his donors, his ties to Giuliani, speeches that he's given in the past, support of controversial things, etc. Once he shot himself in the foot, the media just put that footage on loop and let it run.
And it brings up an even more important point - Romney has yet to receive that level of vetting. They dance around it, bring up bits and pieces, but for the most part, the MSM seems content on going after whoever is Romney's biggest challenger. This debate proved it yet again!

Santorum's best moment in any debate. He took on the premise of the question - ala Newt - and it worked for him. That was an impressive answer from Santorum.

Well, you are very afraid of Perry, Mr. Cain Conservative.
You have flitted from loser candidate to loser candidate and now you’re so all Newt all the time. I bet you hated him six months ago.
You come on Rick Perry threads constantly to insult him.
Why would you do that if he’s polling so poorly that he’s not a factor?
Why wouldn’t you ignore him?
You can’t because you ARE afraid of him.

“Im still impressed with Santorum too. People call him boring. That could be good in a president.”
I would LOVE a nice, boring, scandal-free president who just wanted to get some work done.

YES and Donna Brazille is right. Democrats KNOW Romney is the weakest candidate!
