A New Hampshire surrogate for Mitt Romney said at a local political event that it's evident he will be the Republican presidential nominee and suggested that "beliefs and principles" should not be the deciding factor for voters. State Sen. Gary Lambert said the most important thing is to nominate somebody who can defeat President Obama. "I don't get it. This is not about picking a favorite, it's not about picking someone you like," Lambert said. "It's not about picking someone even with your own beliefs and principles. This is about picking a person who can beat Barack Obama, period."

Sorry, but no flip-flop this time. Last time we went for a black man and look what it got us.
This time we are going for belifs and principles.
Bye, Bye, Willard.
History shows us that very attitude of “me too” and “Dem lite” is a LOSING strategy. When the GOP puts a conservative on the ticket, the base gets motivated and not only turns out to vote, but works hard to get the down ticket candidates elected as well.
You can’t win without the base.
“Cart before Horse” argument, we have just had a single beauty contest and this advocate wants his candidate crowned. My answer is no, we have a few more contests to go and then we can see who will be standing at the end.
Given anybody, I will vote GOP because another 4 years of Obama is beyond thinkable. My wish is for a super-majority in the Senate, and an increase in the House seats. Then to peal back all of this flood of regulation and decisions that have hog-tied hiring. We have a long way to go!
Obviously you didn’t read MY post. I didn’t write the article.
Sorry
AMEN. I’ll second that!
That’s apparently hard for Romney to do, since he has no beliefs or principles he is willing to tell us about.

To tell the truth I almost think McCain threw the 08 election. I know, I know. But his mixing Romney and Zero in his little pep talk says more to me than just a simple slip of the tongue.
Of course if Perry did this or one of this supporters it would be headline news.
If electability is the key, Romney should quit the race now!
There is no way he could win against obama!
And that Ronald Reagan was not.
That should be made into an ad against the establishment.
You know it’s pretty infuriating to read people’s comments that a republican president isn’t important for judges. Souter was an out and out mistake not deliberate.
You want to trade in Scalia, Roberts, Alito and Thomas? Maybe for more Ginzburgs and Soto Mayors?
Puleeeeze back to Planet Earth, ok?
Willard’s Flopney’s record of selecting judges while governor was as pathetic as it gets. Bar none.
Any of the others in our field (except racist and nutjob Paul) is fine though when it comes to judging judges.
Replacing Obama with Romney just means we'll incur the cost of replacing the Presidential portrait in federal buildings and public schools.
. You may read about it here
I didnt write the article.
What made you think that I thought you wrote the article?
Was it my..."Do you get that?"
Again, addressing Mr. Lambert with his...""I don't get it."
Pull the knives out of my belly, Marty, please!
I looked to see if this was one of those semi-satire threads. It’s NOT! OMG.....
I’m sorry. EMS is on it’s way. :-)
Romney may have a bad record on picking judges, but that doesn’t get us to statements that it doesn’t matter whether a republican or democrat president selects judges.
EMS is on its way.
Those nice young men in their clean white coats? {;^)
