President Obama is running for re-election with an unusual pitch: He can't work with others. He only gets along with yes-men.
"I refuse to take no for an answer," Obama said Wednesday of his decision to make a "recess" appointment that placed Richard Cordray as head of a new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The Constitution, of course, gives the president the power to make appointments during Senate recesses. Technically, however, the Senate was in session.
The imperial president bypassed Senate rules and years of precedent, because he wouldn't or couldn't cut a deal.

I recall “Don’t call my bluff” during the budget “debate” (i.e. Kabuki Theater) in summer of 2010 as well.
Constitution? What Constitution? I demand, I want. It’s all about me!
He acts more like Hugo Chavez every day.
I graduated from Harvard Law School and I taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago School of Law, but I'm so damn dumb that I've never heard of the concept of checks and balances, and how they're supposed to work.
The foreign policy of the Obama regime is to take down secular dictators to replace
them with Islamic extremists.
He shouldn’t have to! He’s the President, for heaven’s sake! /sarc
John Woo, John Yoo.....they’re all the same, right?
“When all government, domestic and foreign, in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the center of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated.” Thomas Jefferson, Letter to Charles Hammond [1821]
By November we will know who was smartest.
It’s in his dna. Dictators hang together.
The American Tin pot dictator slash community organizer smack down in 2012. I want a picture of the mr and mrs arrogance when the winner is announced on election eve and it aint them.
“My way or else!”
Well? Let’s start hanging them.
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau = Extortion
LOL, and very true!!!
The liberals frequently tell us that Obama was a constitutional law professor. This statement is supposed to impress us ignorant conservatives that this president has unique insights and knowledge about the constitution.
So exactly how knowledgeable is he about the constitution, when he ignores one of the checks and balances, with these recent appointments? For all of his alleged constitutional knowledge, he doesn’t understand the fact that there are limits on presidential powers.
Or perhaps it’s not that he doesn’t understand, I should say he has decided to do whatever the **** he wants, and dare anybody to try to stop him. If nobody tries to stop him, he has just expanded his powers, which sets him up for further power grabs down the road.
Awwwww...come on, be fair.
He was forced into this position by the Republicans, who
“won’t work with him”-— this has been the mantra since nearly
the beginning—”we must come together, and under me we finally will” (, i.e.-—you have to acknowledge me as the one and only Dear Leader),”all they do is obstruct, they’re the Party of NO,etc.” (they REFUSE to roll over and submit to my plans). See everything Obama and his Dems do and everything they say about Republicans as a relentless example of what Freud called projection. They remove the burdening pressure of unreasonableness , intractability, authoritarianism, off themselves and conveniently place it on the shoulders of Republicans/ it works!!
The not-so-hidden message behind all this,of course, is that they don’t want or expect ANY OPPOSITION. THEIR PROBLEM is that we don’t have outright dictators in this country and we ALWAYS WILL HAVE opposition. Obama may be the first President who was taught all along the way not to EXPECT opposition, so you can hardly blame him for being pissed, in the disgusting, petulant little-boy way he always is/
As all here on FR know he understands what he is doing and has been successful at it. Until he is stopped he will keep on going & will become the tin pot dictator that he aspires to be. Unfortunately no-one in congress has the will to stop him because they either agree with him or are afraid to be called the R (racist)word. In the meantime our precious country goes to the dogs. In the meantime the other R(revolution)word gains more meaning.
