"It has recently come to our attention that your station has either been asked to run, or may soon be asked to run, various advertising spots produced by the Mitt Romney aligned SuperPAC Restore Our Future or Romney for President, the principal campaign committee of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Included among the Romney advertisements submitted to your station for broadcast are likely to be various advertisements which specifically mention Speaker Gingrich and purport to quote or reference the findings of a 1997 report issued by the House Select Committee on Ethics (the Report).
The content of these advertisements state and/or suggest that, Speaker Gingrich was fined $300,000 for violations of congressional rules. These statements are NOT TRUE. In fact, ANY statement, suggestion, or innuendo that Speaker Gingrich was assessed a congressional fine for violations of House Ethics Rules is fundamentally false and misleading. If published after your receipt of this letter, it will be a knowing publication of a false statement. As such, it represents a defamatory communication which exposes this station to potential civil liability. In turn, we do hereby DEMAND that your station immediately REFUSE, and if started, CEASE airing any such advertisements and refrain from broadcasting their content until such time as the libelous statements have been removed."

“especially when Freddies representative claims they were hiring Gingrich, not his underlings. Maybe it will turn out they knew exactly what they were getting, but politically its got to be better for Gingrich if that story fades away, rather than having it argued front and center again.”
It’s never been proven. Or perhaps you have some cache of records, receipts, billed hour logs, etc? No, you don’t. If they existed we’d have ll seen them. There is no proof of wrong doing. Just lies and innuendo. I work fo a company which has done things I would not do, but I did not do them.
What IS on the record is Newt’s testimony and records that he advised them not to do what they did. I have no proof of wrong doing and neither does anyone else. So why the make believe that it exists?
With that hearty laugh, I am going to leave this thread and likely sign out!
Good night and God bless you all!
GO NEWT!!!!
The liberals still control most of the press in this Country. As long as this is a fact, conservatives will come under much more scrutiny then any liberal. We still don't know very much about Obama and he's been president for three years!
Knowing this is true, conservatives have to vet their candidates better than liberals do, fair or not. Gingrich's personal "indiscretions" are not minor, especially to social conservatives, and that is the ones we know about. What do you think are the chances that the Obama team will find more instances of Gingrich's adulterous affairs?
I just don't think it makes sense to back a candidate who has such a tawdry background and whose support has already withered in the face of a negative campaign. And I still don't think he has answered the question of why he was shilling for Fannie/Freddie at a time when he had to have known that they were contributing to the destruction of our economy. Obama could easily parade out Jamie Goerlick, or some such, to explain how deeply Gingrich supported the work of Fannie/Freddie. More ammunition, more negative ads. In my mind, too much.
Sure is. I think there are several of them here.
What claims did I make that were "falsehoods" as you posted. This shouldn't be so hard. You said I posted "falsehoods", where are they?
Good night and God bless you too.
GO NEWT GO...
I don’t know how many times I’ve watched McCain ‘endorse’ Obama when He’s suppose to pimping for Romney....and funny too all the Romney signs around him while he said that! lololol....I replayed it to see hispeople,(or romneys) catch him...they just weren’t quick enough...I don’t think they got it until someone in the audiance spoke up....then they came in from both sides! lololo....I hope Jim gets to see this too...should have pinged him but I soooo don’t like to disturb the man.
Speaking of “baggage” these folks had some weighty stuff they carried...just for perspective:
Jacob was a cheater, Peter had a temper, David had an affair, Noah got drunk, Jonah ran from God, Paul was a murderer, Gideon was insecure, Miriam was a gossiper, Martha was a worrier, Thomas was a doubter, Elijah was moody, Moses stuttered, Zaccheus was short, Abraham was old, Lazarus was dead....
God doesnt call the qualified, He qualifies the CALLED!

If I were any of them, I would think twice about running for president...
The only "record" that I have seen is statements from Fannie/Freddie officials who deny Gingrich gave any such advise. Besides what Gingrich has said after he left their employ, do you have a cite to these records?
I can see why you would think twice, would you know a call if you got one?
By the way pretaining to those charges against Newt...why beat that drum...the press is doing the job without our help...and then there’s Jim Robinson’s thread you might conider taking a look see at to get his drift here:

Furtheeermore:
Eighty-three of the eighty-four charges against Newt were found to be without merit and dropped.... The remaining charge had to do with contradictory documents prepared by Newts lawyer supplied during the course of the investigation..... Newt took responsibility for the error and agreed to reimburse the committee the cost of the investigation into that discrepancy.
additionally.... In 1999, after a 3 ½ year investigation, the Internal Revenue Service (under President Bill Clinton, nonetheless) concluded that.. Gingrich did not violate any tax laws, leading renowned CNN Investigative Reporter Brooks Jackson to remark on air.... it turns out [Gingrich] was right and those who accused him of tax fraud were wrong.
Yeah..pretty hysterical...I’m laughing still and sending that video to friends in Florida...lololol
Love the little laughing dog...
You’d thing they’d try not to be so obvious.
But they’re so cocky about the NH polls, they forget.
Thanks again for posting the link!!
I can't believe the crowd in the back didn't pick up on it either...must be nobody cares to listen to McCain.....
McCains for McCain 24/7 unless he stands to gain something pretty big....but at his age and obvious brain fluffs abound for him, he's likely going to die in his seat..he uses his survial techniques.
The Washington Compost. Obama’s media wing. Well that settles it.
Not to mention the girls - shall we start with Mary Magdalene?
The story is from January 1997. How did they write a report in 1997, to help obummer out???? If they had it wrong back then, find a story from then correcting their report.
