Ron Paul's campaign is out with this new ad in South Carolina, which hits Rick Santorum on his "record of betrayal."
"One serial hypocrite exposed," the ad says, showing clips of Newt Gingrich. "Now another has emerged: Rick Santorum, a corporate lobbyist and Washington politician. A record of betrayal."

As opposed to Santorum who packed bills with earmarks and voted for the bill
I posted the same thing before the Iowa caucus...Paul has been spending millions to slam every candidate (but Romney)...then I read an interview where Paul slammed Newt and Santorum...but then curiously suggested that Romney might be acceptable
One major reason that senators make weak presidential candidates is that they usually have extensive voting histories, which can be cherry-picked by opposition researchers to smear the candidate with (some) of his own votes.
Given all the compromises, quid pro quos and procedural hijinks that go on in that whorehouse, I would bet that one could make any senator from either party look like a demon or a saint, pretty much at will.
On the other hand, you will notice how rare it is for the newt-haters to actually rely on his votes. They much prefer to float out offhand comments, attacks on his personal life, and the occasional brain fart, because his voting record does not support their efforts to smear him.
SC is an Open primary .
Paul bots are just Dems doing Soros work !
In IA tnr nutters support came from 82 Percent Dems !
Your looking at Union and Code Pink money here
We have a winning post !
Are you sure Romney leads in South Carolina?
As repulsive as it sounds, as of today he does lead in South Carolina....thank goodness that will change as we get closer to the primary.
And they’ve gotten plenty of help - right here.
Crazy Ronny has no conservative base !
His entire support in IA were Dems and radical kook leftist and bussed in union trolls
“Crazy Ronny has no conservative base !”
Funny...I do not recall saying that he did.
Why does NOT Ron Paul go after Romney?..
Why is Romney getting the pass?
Ron Paul is doing his best to help Romney.
From an interview on Bloomberg with Al Hunt:
I think he probably understands how the market works as a businessman a little bit better than a guy like Gingrich does and the people who have never been in business, [Paul] said of Romney.
Paul also suggested that he sees Romney as being more presidential than some of the other candidates.
I think he has a decorum thats different, he said. Hes a little bit more diplomatic, I think, in the way he handles things.
And...as someone surmised above...maybe he is hoping for some deal from Romney for Rand...VP or Cabinet post
That post is a pack of lies .
Rick S is one of the most conservatives in the race.
Unlike glob warming Newt who was a lobbyist and a good pal of San Fran and Obama phony global warming scam .
Old Newt is the DC big govt blah blah establishment but not well liked
Infact he is considered a jerk .
Spot on.
Sorry about mispost
I hate iPhones
What did I say about Santorum that was false?
Over a month ago the NOT Romney candidates should have had a meeting and pick one of them that is best able to beat Romney and Obama. But the candidates, just like the posters here on FR are not facing reality. Not every Republican candidate that entered the race was capable of beating Romney, much less Obama. Paul's people, please move to another country. Paul and his supporters have done more harm to this country than ANY OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE. No way would he have ever been elected.
Don't be surprised if the I WANT PERFECTION AS I DEFINE PERFECTION crowd just gave Obama another 4.
All I have to say “your not in Iowa anymore”. Put your man-pant’s on and attack. We are soooo eating our own that it is going to get down to Romney and Paul.
What a nightmare.
Newt is the only one that can withstand these attacks and come back punching. Rick is about to go down with the count.
