The College Convention 2012 at New England College in Concord, New Hampshire provided a true test of Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorums religous views regarding gay marriage Thursday.
The former Pennsylvania senator was one of four Republican candidates to attend the convention, as Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman and Buddy Roemer also attended the event.
New England College has played host to the College Convention since the year 2000.
Mr. Santorum countered questions about his views on gay marriage by comparing it to polygamy several times, while not actually defending his views regarding gay marriage. He became engaged in several back and forth exchanges with one particular female student, who continued to demand that he define why he opposes same sex marriage.
Well what about three men? If reason says that if you think its OK for two, then you have to differentiate with me as to why its not OK for three.
Finally, Mr. Santorum attempted to explain his views and beliefs regarding gay marriage.
I believe were made that way. God made men and woman to keep civilization and provide the best environment to raise children, said Mr. Santorum. I have no problem if people want to have relationships, but marriage provides a good to society. Its unique because it is the union that causes children to be raised.
Mr. Santorums rival candidates have had several run ins with gay issues, or gay voters asking them about their views regarding same sex marriage.
Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann was told by an eight year old child at a book signing that his gay mother doesnt need fixing.
During a December campaign event in Iowa, Mr. Gingrich told a gay voter to support Obama, after listening to the mans view about marriage.
In August, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney signed a pledge promising to support a constitutional amendment to define marriage as being between a man and a woman.
Texas Governor Rick Perry received criticism from gay voters at events in Iowa, after releasing an ad advocating for the military to bring back their Dont ask, dont tell, policy.
According to a Rasmussen poll released Wednesday, Mr. Santorum is surging in popularity nationally, his views on gay marriage should not hurt his surge at all, since the majority of his opponents have the same views.
Exactly. What term was it some group of Ivory Tower s***-heads were pushing (on some thread posted here the other day) to rationalize child molestation?
“Intergenerational intimacy”?
“It’s spinach, and I say to hell with it.” Sweetpea
EXACTLY! You figured out the leftist agenda is to SILENCE Christians!
The way I recall, God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.
“male and female created He them”
Genesis 1:27

I thought he did great!
This is such a tiny minority group that it begs rationality that they command such huge attention... until you look at the BIG picture.
The “prince of this world” would love nothing more than for the state to criminalize Christianity [again]. So, those who serve “the world” will serve him and further this agenda.
Easy to do when you consider most New Hampshire liberals are just displaced m*SSholes.......
This is GOOD for Santorum!!
The more the activist Sodomites detest him, the more normal people will find him acceptable.
We have quite a few friends from New Hampshire, and they are some of the nicest, funniest, most down to earth people I know. Out of the entire group, I know of only one who is liberal. New Hampshire is a wonderful state.
Heteros should never have accepted any help regarding marriage, even taxes, from the state. Remember, Christ said "Render unto Caesar..." Marriage is a sacrament and therefore belongs to the Lord, not Caesar.
We should have listened.
The entire younger generation has been brainwashed on this. We’re doomed as a society.
Color me shocked.
At last, a candidate who will stand up boldly to the gay mafia!
Go, Rick Santorum!
agree!!
Wrong. Your advice that we fear using our right to representation in regards to creating laws of public decency (like defining marriage) is what would lead us further into an abyss of anarchy.
Homosexuality is a corruption of the natural purpose of human sexuality and is a danger as to the disease and further sexual corruption it is aligned with. We have every right to promote marriage as being between a man and a woman. There is nothing that says that if marriage is promoted that then homosexuality must be promoted and treated equally. It is a corruption of the Constitution to claim that.
The political party of barry hussein, chuck schumer, nasty pelosi, barney fag, et al is the Abortion Party, or the Faggot Party.
I submit none of those who booed Rick Santorum ought claim they are Christian. And add those who booed him are too stupid to be allowed to vote-if we were yet a nation that cared at all about what kind of politician gets elected to Office.
These abominations occur with or without marriage, now we will be forced to accept them rather than having these acts being crimes.
Perverts vote too and form a powerful lobby for they have a powerful backer.
I repeat, we should have followed the Word.
Your view of government is one whereas it seems to me that you have no belief at all in representative government. You speak as if laws regarding marriage where negotiated between government and the people and not that the people were represented in the making of the law. You speak of receiving thirty pieces of silver, which again is a view of government whereas you see no right to representation at all but instead see government as being a series of negotiations.
Follow the word all that you want but it still doesnt relieve you of your responsibilities of managing the affairs of community and survival in the world. Governments will always be the means of engaging these issues in a responsible manner.
Your view is to withdraw because you seem to have some delusion that if you use government for good (such as defining marriage and promoting it) that you are then opening the door for the bad (perversion and corruption and crime). I though believe that it is your withdrawal that is what brought upon these problems to begin with. It is your libertarian philosophy that teaches to not judge evil as evil and to just keep your religion to yourself (do not try to promote or legislate it) that allows corruption to spread in our country today.
