It’s a very small increase, after two years of a pay freeze. I think this raise is warranted, particularly for the many federal employees who live in the Washington DC area, which is a very expensive place.

BS. I work for EPA (check my previous posts), and we are overpaid by at least 20% and underworked in the extreme. At least half of all fed workers need to be fired, and the remaining 50% need a 20% pay decrease.

Mixed feelings. Folks like judges and high-tech engineers are very UNDERpaid if they work in federal service (and the last few years of pay freezes is driving more good ones OUT, with the spaces to be filled by marginal talents). But countless cubicle-fillers in the Department of MakeWork? Overpaid, overpaid.

" I think this raise is warranted"

The MONEY to implement ANY raises should be refused by Republicans, UNLESS all the Czars and their massive Staffs are eliminated, to pay for it.

The hiring of 10's of thousands of un-necessary "public" employees (such as ALL those for Obamacare beuaracracy) should be de-funded, and the savings to be used to reduce the Deficit.

Second, elimination of Unions from ALL Federal employment is a MUST, along with elimination of the DOE, Department of Indoctrination (Education), and all other non-productive/job destroying Regulatory Agencies.

Third, Executive Orders that cost ANY money whatsoever, shall be approved by Congress, who are the ONLY ones who can approve expenditures, according to the U.S. Constitution.

Ever consider that DC is expensive BECAUSE federal workers are overpaid (and all the other floor of tax dollars going to government contractors lobbyists, etc.)?

Cut their pay by 50% and maybe they will quit!

If they don’t quit fire 75% of them!

what utter nonsense. It's common knowledge most federal employees are over paid and under worked.
