"In a leaked letter sent to Spain's outgoing President, the US ambassador warned that if Spain didn't pass SOPA-like file-sharing site blocking law, Spain would risk being put into United States trade blocklist. United States government interference in Spain's intellectual property laws have been suspected for a long time, and now the recent leaks of diplomatic cables confirm this. Apart from the cables leaked earlier, now another cable dated December 12th says U.S. expresses "deep concern" over the failure to implement SOPA-style censorship law in the country. 'The government has unfortunately failed to finish the job for political reasons, to the detriment of the reputation and economy of Spain,' read the letter. Racing against the clock in the final days of the government, Solomont had one last push. 'I encourage the Government of Spain to implement the Sinde Law immediately to safeguard the reputation of Spain as an innovative country that does what it says it will, and as a country that breeds confidence,' he wrote."

Pass the laws we tell you too or you go into a trade blockade. This is by far the most evil and corrupt administration ever. We’ll be fortunate if we can get rid of this group of junkyard dogs without bloodshed, but then we will spend who knows how long trying to patch up silly attacks on our friends.
It seems like recently the worst of our legislation has the support of both parties. Makes you wonder.
Lamar Smith was bought and paid for by the beneficiaries of SOPA, and he went cheap too - less than 100 grand.
Its not just the ObamaBastard behind this. One of the prime sponsors is a Republican from Texas - Lamarr Smith.

Low-life whoring vipers - all of them.
For reference this bill sounds bad for us.
Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA)
LOL...that just the house...the Senate is worse..the usual cast of (R)’s..plus some
Bitterly disappointed in Marco Rubio on this one.
There are actually two sets of bills both with Senate and House versions.
As usual, John McCain is among the customary suspects.
Another form of crony capitalism.
Thanks for the links. I will be sure to.
I’m really surprised why there isn’t more action and concern in this forum over this.
Already, there are some sources we can’t quote - like Gannett. If somebody writes something or posts something, other people are entitled to criticize it and you can’t do that unless you quote it. You can do this with books by citing the source and we do that here.
SOPA is as scary as Obama care.
