But what is he fighting for? In 07 he says cap and trade is good, in 08 he appears in a Al Gore ad, now he’s against cap and trade and says appearing in the ad was dumb. Which of those is the “real” Newt, which time did he say what he means?

My bet is neither. He’s just saying what he thinks will get him the support he needs. Just like his marriage oaths, they’re goal oriented, not truth oriented. Don’t believe people that have a history of lies and oath breaking. he’s fighting for him, not us, not the country. That’s how philanders work, they’re self serving.

Well if they were making the beast while somebody was still married she was the one breaking an oath not Reagan. Divorce happens, people figure out their marriage was a mistake. But there’s a big difference between making a clean break and cheating. Not expecting saints, just don’t see a reason to assume somebody that’s already broken one oath (at least twice in Newt’s case) won’t break another. Especially when you add in his recent activity on “climate change”. He’s maintaining the pattern of saying what will get him what he wants. Can’t trust people like that.

Would you choose a “serial philanderer” over Obama, or is Obama OK because he has only had one wife (and a few male lovers)? Some transgressions are more serious than others.

Powerful video. Newt needs to be president. He is so head and shoulders above Romney.

Obama is a socialist, I don’t vote for them either.

It's okay if you're the marriage usurper? I figured as much.

Your standards aren't standards at all.

You have a nice day.

He is so head and shoulders above Romney.

I think he is head and shoulders above all of them. Only politician of our time with as much passion as Newt has regarding how messed up our country is is Palin. Our nominee needs to stir the passion in voters by taking it to Obama and his policies. Newt can do that and then convey why his policies WILL work. Voters want action and passion. That is why Romney, aka Mr. Plastic, isn't liked...that in addition to the FACT he is only marginally better than Obama. Bump for a great video.

OK? No. Definitely bad. But not breaking an oath. Also keep in mind in Reagan’s case he came to realize the whole thing was a mistake, and it went down 30+ years before he ran for president. Heck he was still a Dem when all that happened. Newt’s most recent that we know about was 15 years ago, and he’s had recent policy flip flops that show he still has a hard time keeping to the straight line.

What the question boils down it is can you trust the person to honor the oath of office? I say if they’ve failed to keep previous oaths it’s a bad bet.

Makes a cheap, unfair, and dishonest comparison of Romney's comment on Newt's campaigning style with other things Newt might said during the campaign and hammers it into the ground.

Romney wasn't asked to comment on the particular things Newt may have said at one point or another, but about Newt's specific comment on Romney and Romney's PAC.

How can you "define the stark overwelming political differences between Newt and Mitt" when you play one clip of Romney over and over and over again intercut with various Gingrich comments that Romney wasn't responding to?

This doesn't make me think well of Newt or his supporters, and I suspect other people will have a similar response.

That’s the best you got huh? Why am I not surprised. Funny how the folks apologizing for a philander always run to the insults and stupidity. Thanks for letting us know that’s you’re as much of a worthless POS as the serial philanderer.

You’ve got nothing right. If you had anything right you could debate with logic not run to idiotic emoticons.
