I’m sure Santorum is a perfectly nice guy.

This just isnt a nice guy election.

Newt is the most fearless guy to run for the white house since Reagan. He knows how to fight and does not need time to train and get up to speed.

“Newt is the most fearless guy to run for the white house since Reagan. He knows how to fight...”

Reminds me of a story: When people submitted to President Lincoln that General Grant could not possibly be a good soldier, he replied, “I like him; he fights.”

When they charged him with drunkenness, Lincoln jocularly proposed that they ascertain the brand of the whisky he drank and buy up a large amount of the same sort to send to his other generals, so that they might win victories like him!

Botton line: Newt is not afraid to wade in and mix it up, and at least for me, that trumps any of his so-called “baggage”. A junkyard dog will not win any points at a dog show, but he’ll sure save your bacon, and that’s what we need right now.

Couldn't agree more. We need a fearless, patriotic fighter to represent us now. Look at what we're up against. This country has never seen anything like Obama before.

It's going to take someone who puts on his war paint every morning to galvanize the base and defeat him.

Santorum IS a nice guy, but don’t underestimate him. He’s a bull dog and engages in any fight with the spunk and intelligence to do it justice. He was my senator for 12 years and I’ve wanted to call him president for much of that time. For my money, he’s the best candidate running.

I don’t understand how Conservatives don’t understand that the reason the establishment republicans, the insiders in DC, the media and assorted others hate Newt is because of the threat he poses to their status quo. They don’t hate anyone as much as they hate Newt - and they couldn’t care less about his baggage - they care that he will kick ass and change things and throw some light on their cockroach nests... The job for the next Republican president will require a real bastard... Newt is that, and a genuine lover of America, and a conservative with a proven record of getting things done in cesspools...

Santorum is the hyped up candidate of the week, but we need a president for the long haul who will roll back the Big Government that guys like FDR and LBJ created.

Gingrich has the best resume to do that.

I would say the other way around. Gingrich has too much baggage, IMO. After he gets done savaging Romney with ads, he ought to drop out and leave the field to Santorum.

One on one Santorum can beat Romney. We have to clear the field for him. He's the last one standing.
