Former Vice President Al Gore, Americas green guru, is a man who rarely says anything good about Republican politicians. But thats until Gore read Mitt Romneys Climate Protection Plan, that outlined his cap-and-trade initiative in 2004, while he served as governor of Massachusetts. Grist, an environmental news website, quotes Romney as saying, I believe the worlds getting warmer I believe based on what I read that the world is getting warmer. And number two, I believe that humans contribute to that I think its important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may well be significant contributors to the climate change and the global warming that youre seeing.
Upon hearing Romneys remarks, Al Gore praised him for supporting his environmental movement.
According to Grist, back when he was governor of Massachusetts, in 2004, Romney unveiled a Climate Protection Plan that aimed to reduce the states greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2010 and then about 10 percent more by 202, relying primarily on voluntary measures and requirements that applied only to the state government. His administration also helped shape the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, a cap-an-trade for Northeast states.
Romney also blasted a heavy-polluting coal plant in Massachusetts in 2003, by claiming the states energy producer kills people.
I was on the fence, but now that I know that Gore likes Romney’s climate Projection Plan, I guess I am just going to have to vote for Mitt. </sarc>
John McCain, Santorum’s nephew, Al Gore. Surely that many great minds can’t be wrong.
Why not endorse Romney and then see how fast his poll numbers go down..Come on Al he needs your endorsement..
"It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."
Sen. John Kerry (D) to Don Imus on RomneyCARE:
"I like this health care bill".
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D) on RomneyCARE:
"To come up with a bipartisan plan in this polarized environment is commendable."
Milt to DiMasi: "I bet you $10,000 you will be free in eight years, partner."
Romney is a democrat in everything but name only. I’m shocked! /s
WTH is a Climate Protection Plan? Does it start after the factory warranty?
SWEET WORDS OF LUVIN’ FROM THE CRAZED SEX POODLE HISSELF!
For me, it's just a proof positive confirmation about everything that I've believed to be the case about Romney....
Could be why 75% of Iowa voted for anybody but Romney.
Romney has low friends in high places.
Rick Perry campaign ad: - Carbon Copies [:60]
Romneys Troubling Appointments (Mitt's environmental policy team now works for Obama) ."EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson has taken most of the fire from Republicans as her agency rolls out a slew of controversial new climate and clean air rules. But McCarthy, the EPA assistant administrator of the Office of Air and Radiation, has taken on much of the heavy lifting of writing, structuring, and implementing the rules.
Lisas the coach and Ginas the quarterback in the work of rolling out new clean air regulations, said Daniel Weiss, an energy and climate policy expert at the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank with close ties to the Obama administration. Shes running the plays, improvising on the line.
Another Romney environmental adviser in the effort to regulate greenhouse gases is now Obamas Director of Science and Technology Policy, John Holdren. Dr. Holdren has some exotic views:
Romney use to talk exactly like a liberal Democrat but now he is a conservative.
How do I know this? Because Romney repeatedly claims he is a conservative.
He talks like a conservative,too...thats good enough for me.
The Kiss of Death.
Thank you, Algore!
And this :
And this is a very well worth the time viewing...it is lengthy...but the best summary yet:
--Al Gore, Vice President
You know... the republican party has become America’s second communist party.
Unfortunately, The GOP “Party First” folks just don’t get it, and when they do, it will be to late. Just drop in on rabid frat-boy Hannity ...”coming up next, the architect, Karl rove”....You can’t fix stupid.
