"This is quirky place and a quirky process to say the least," Perry said of Iowa and its caucuses. "We're going to go into places where they have actual primaries and there are going to be real Republicans voting."

You have the right to think what Perry would say, but I don't have the right to think what you would say.

As far as legislative, I personally do not remember him doing a thing that bothered me, other than supporting Spector.I think he supported Romney last time.
It would behoove you to refresh your memory regarding his voting record. He's a RINO, fiscally.
He's better than Romney, but...

Perry is not soft on illegal immigration. If any of the other candidates had had to deal with it they might have done much worse than Perry has done.
Starting in November, Perry supported a work visa programs so that illegal aliens can cross the border freely. That's not being soft on illegal aliens, I mean criminals. That's telling them that even though they broke our laws, they can still cross our borders and work here.

I bet we find out shortly what Perry means - I'm sure somebody will ask him about the "quirky" comment and the "real" primaries at one of the upcoming debates, especially since South Carolina is an open primary.

All caucuses I've ever heard of are "quirky"---that's how Obama stole the primary election from Hillary!
That's where the organization came in...not so much at the ballot box.
If you think it's OK for Paul voters and Repubs for a day voting and skewing the votes, I guess you wouldn't think it "quirky."

So you think all Mexicans that cross the border are illegal aliens and criminals...even with a work visa.

I didn't say all Mexicans, I said illegal aliens. Illegal aliens are criminals.

The implication was that SC would not be "quirky" and would be a "real" primary, when, as you just pointed out, SC, being an open primary, will have Paul voters and "Repubs for a day" voting.
I'm glad you see it like I do and that Paul voters are not Republicans. Lot of folks believe otherwise, and the MSM tries to pretend like they are as well.

If a Mexican has a work visa, they aren't illegal aliens and probably not criminals.
I hate the illegals as much as you do, BTW.
If you want to really get mad read, "Home Invasion."

Perry was specifically talking about giving illegal aliens work visas, which means they are criminals. If they stop being criminals simply because they are given visas, that sure as hell sounds like amnesty.
To: af_vet_rr
Would they have to go home to apply for a work visa?
What is your source for this info?

Perry didn't go into detail - he just wanted a visa program so the illegals can go back and forth across our border. He said it wasn't amnesty and that they wouldn't get citizenship, but giving criminals a visa so they can cross the border to work isn't exactly punishing them...and it was a very surprising thing for him to push for, given the state of the economy and how many folks are out of work.
Personally, I think if you can identify them to give them a visa to cross our border, you can identify them to send them packing.
What is your source for this info?

I’m not too hot on earmarks, but they are a TINY part of the budget. I had heard just this week that McCain’s big kick about earmarks was because he wouldn’t take on ENTITLEMENTS...due to all of the oldies being in his state. It gave him very cheap cover to make the claim of being a fiscal conservative.
I’d prefer Santorum not support earmarks...but entitlements is the big prize.

Surely they would have to apply from Mexico...so they wouldn't be illegal aliens.
You know ththe kind of work they do wouldn't get done because it's easier to live off welfare.
I really believe if not for Mexicans, legal or not, we wouldn't have ample veggies and fruit! Admit it...and that is not a racist statement. :)
