Glad to hear it. It is too early to cut the field too much. Most of the delegates won’t be awarded until much later in the primary calendar.

Not sure I could trust a twitter announcement.

If this is true, he would be at least releasing it to the media through official campaign channels.

HALLELUJAH!!! Santorum won’t go anywhere from Iowa, but Perry may well be able to win in SC and go on from there.

That’s very encouraging.

No one broke 25% last night. This field is still extremely fractured and Perry right now is far and away my number 1 choice.

A vote for Perry is a vote for Romney.

Payback is a bitch, ain't it?

I pray this is true.

Perry just needs to get busy getting the message out, that he is the only one left, who is ready to begin the downsizing of DC!

Give him strength Lord!

YAY! Glad are choices are widened.

Why should Iowa pick the nominees?

Great! There was no reason for Perry to get out as long as he has a war chest. Is he the most conservative candidate? No. But he's the most conservative candidate that can beat Obama. That might not matter to some people here but it's pretty important to me.

Rick Perry 2012!

Not a Perry fan by any means, but pleased he is staying in, as he should. He only finished 4% behind Newt, and has every right to fight on to win the crown of “anti-Mitt”. I do believe Santorum has more potential than most are expecting, both in N.H. and beyond.

He’s counting on Santorum and Gingrich to brutalize Romney in NH, and then Santorum not have the operation and cultural appeal to make it in the south.

Perry has a good strategy. Haley has lots of GOP enemies in SC and she has backed Mitt. There will be plenty who would like to see Haley fall on her face and a Perry victory would be the equivalent. Perry could use the south to come alive.

Romney must be uncorking the champagne right now. Very, very sad move by Perry. He spent a ton of money in friendly territory and got no traction, just a distant 5th place result. The guy is showing his cluelessness about campaigning on a national stage by thinking he has anything to gain by staying in. The only thing he could possibly gain is a V.P. slot under Romney. So you can thank him for helping bring us that ticket.

My, that was a fast “3 day trip to Texas to reassess the campaign.”

Are you sure about this?
