Rick Santorum is on the eve of a game-changing election. Hes about to go from an also-ran, and largely ignored, candidate to the Cinderella candidate. Hell be the featured player in the But the real winner tonight is..." news stories. Hes already become the target of his opponents ire.
The Post reported that he told a group of Fox News reporters, Ron Paul is disgusting. Did he mean, you know, in general? I talked with his senior advisor Hogan Gidley, who explained that Santorum was reacting to Pauls attacks on him, which are unmoored to any facts. On the Second Amendment, He says Rick is anti-gun?! Guess who is a an NRA member and who has an A-plus rating from the NRA? Rick Santorum. Guess who doesnt have an A-plus? Ron Paul. Likewise, Gidley says Pauls attacks on Santorum for being pro-choice are ludicrous. Rick was asked about that. He said, If Im pro-choice, youre going to have a hard time finding anyone who is pro-life.
The Santorum team thinks candidates who are skipping the New Hampshire primary for South Carolina are making a big mistake. Rick from the get-go said he would be competing in the first three states.

Santorum may have the better game plan. It is true that since 1980 no Republican candidate has won the nomination without winning South Carolina. But it is also the case that no candidate has won South Carolina after losing badly in the first two states. If Santorum comes into New Hampshire with a head of steam, he could conceivably vault into second place, and with top-three finishes in both early states, it will be hard to argue hes not the best positioned, perhaps the only candidate positioned, to beat Romney.

I’m not sure what to think of this guy—I like what I’ve read about him, but I had the impression that he wasn’t going anywhere.
A lot of people had the impression that President Santorum was going no where but he knew all along that he would be our next President of the United States. Hopefully he choses Vice President Bachmann as his running mate. What an exciting ticket. Our country would be fixed in no time at all.
No truer words were ever spoken. Calling Santorum out as a gun grabbing abortionist in slimy robocalls is all anyone needs to know about Paul and his son Rand who is out pimping this trash today for the ol' man.
I listened/watched him today on Fox and was very impressed.
New tagline :)
...it could happen!
Ron Paul is disgusting...
Rick, you read my mind. Good on ya...
That’s good to hear. I would be happy to pull the lever for him. I dread having to vote for either mittens or Gingrich.
If he couldn’t carry Pennsylvannia, why do we expect he would be able to carry the country?
I’ve long maintained if you can’t carry your home state as a Senator, you arent’t going to win the presidency. Just ask Al Gore. If the good people of Tennessee had voted for him we’d been kicking him around for a while instead of Bush.
Sean Hannity was saying that Ron Paul had robo calls in Iowa saying that Santorum was not pro-life. (paraphrasing)
But yet Ron Paul only has a 56% rating from the NRLC. Dirty politics from the Ron Paul camp, it looks like.
“Presidential Hopefuls: Rick Santorum
Pennsylvanias former senator and lifelong Catholic has been solidly pro-life in both his personal and public life.”

Different time different circumstance
What a handsome picture of Rick Santorum. Thanks for posting.
"If he couldnt carry Pennsylvannia, why do we expect he would be able to carry the country?"
Romney lost in MA; Gingrich, Paul, Bachmann have never been tested beyond congressional races; Perry has only won in a red state.
Should we just call the whole thing off?...
“What a handsome picture of Rick Santorum. Thanks for posting.”
Yeah, he has the NRA hat on and everything. What a goofball.
“Should we just call the whole thing off?...”
You mean Santorum’s campaign? Yes.
You’re not a hunter, are you?
You can’t tell a Ron Paul voter when you hear one?
