Just the other day, I heard my 8-year-old daughter discussing the mortgage-backed securities bubble with her little friends.
Most of them agreed that the securitization of bad debts mandated by socialistic government policy was the contributing factor.
They were also of the belief that boys in government are stinky and the time to invest in gold was two years ago.
Did they happen to mention where the floor for silver was or was that a bit too "first grade" for them?
Just asking, I could kinda use that ya know...

When I was in the 3rd grade, it was the custom for the kids to express their support for one or the other candidate in presidential elections, this being Stevenson or Eisenhower in 1956. Of course, we echoed the sentiments of our parents, in my case my mother, who was an outspoken liberal. I did make an early foray into negative campaigning, though, when I made a sign saying, “EISENHOWER FOR THE TRASH CAN.” Sadly, my pioneering genius went unrecognized and my sign was censored.
