Going for Santorum—I think anybody can beat Obama so the Buckley rule goes for ALL of them with the exceptions of Romney (who ain't a conservative) Paul (who is a nut) and Huntsman (who?). Bachman Perry and Santorum are the most conservative so if you like any one of them you should vote for them.
But I do believe your endorsement of Newt will probably help him more than any other he has recieved so far.

ITS UNANIMOUS FOR INELIGIBLE PRO-DNC ROMNEY
Carville(D):
"It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."
Sen. John Kerry (D) to Don Imus on RomneyCARE:
"I like this health care bill".
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D) on RomneyCARE:
"To come up with a bipartisan plan in this polarized environment is commendable."
Mitt Romney wins much coveted Jimmy Carter endorsement

God bless Newt. He’s the only candidate who would lay waste to husseins policies of American destruction.

From the article: " I dont think Romneys a bad man. But its easy for him to take both sides on an issue, because he has no driving philosophy. In business or politics, his agenda is to be a winner. Things are so bad now, and Obamas popularity may be so low, that Romney could win the election. But after that is the hard part: theres an errant and damaged country to save. And this most successful nation in the history of the world can only be saved by restoring the founding and unique values that he does not fully understand." THAT philosophical base is KEY to our nation's future.

Four years ago the Thompson Turnpike and the Huckabee Highway led us to McCain City.
This year the Santorum Skyway and the Perry Parkway will get us to Romneyville.

‘Newt Gingrich is best prepared to engage the campaign, assert a clear vision, and drive an agenda to save America......... But applying Buckleys rule today, Gingrich is the most conservative who can (best) win’
Wish all voters see the wisdom in this observation and choose wisely!

I guess you’re probably right, but I think Santorum has the best concept of the office sought and would make a good president. While I wouldn’t agree with all of his stands, he nicely fills the three legs of the conservative stool, and his baggage will have to be manufactured by Alan Colmes et al. Santorum 2012. No Romneys.

If Romney somehow won the election, we would go from bad to worse.

I hope you were watching CBS Morning Show a couple of minutes ago. Gingrich shocked the panel as he allowed them to put the “liar” word in his mouth regarding Romney. CBS is predicting a Romney, Ron Paul, Santorum (in that order) result with Gingrich somwhere back in the pack.
Gingrich seemed determined to press forward and was very angry and resentful against what Romney did to him in Iowa by going negative with the superpac ads.
Scheiffer laughed nervously and pretended not to understand when Gingrich said he would still support Romney in the general election against Obama even after calling Romney a liar on national broadcast TV, because Obama is tearing the country apart.

Extra prayers that Newt survives the attacks by the Romney camp and emerges victorious.

I could vote for Newt, but I’m still hoping Rick Perry will come into Florida with a hearty tailwind.

The problem with Newt is...There’s the Good Newt (”Newt Ginrgich 2+2=4”) and then there’s the Bad Newt....and we all have seen him.
What I like about him is A. He thinks historically, being an historian, and I actually read the darn stuff so it informs my world view.
B. He thinks big thoughts, throws out big ideas, and IMO has thought them out.
That said

Unless I'm mis-remembering (which I have been known to do), I am pretty sure Michael Reagan already endorsed Gingrich. It just didn't get much play in the media — obviously because it would help Gingrich if it got reported widely!
I'll do a FR search and see if I can find the article.

And Reagans son and ideological heir, Michael, is affirming this and endorsing him over the next two days. Right from Michael Reagan's own mouth: See the video "Who will continue the Reagan legacy?" here:
