In an interview on Studio B Monday, Shepard Smith challenged Rick Santorum on his position on gay marriage. Santorum said that whether homosexuals should be allowed to marry is really a question of values, saying, “The question is whether we should change the laws of this country to reflect a different value structure. What we’re talking about here are different values. We have to Judeo-Christian values that are based on Biblical truth and truth that can be acclaimed and resolved through reason. And, those truths don’t change just because people’s attitudes may change.”
He went onto say, “People are allowed to love a lot of different people and a lot of different, and we honor those relationships, but we don’t call them marriage and we don’t treat them like marriage.”
Santorum concluded, “Family is the foundation of our society and marriage is the glue that holds that family together. That’s not being against anybody, that’s being for something.”

Wrongo! The clamoring for the benefits is merely a pretext for their attack on marriage. Apparently, you don't get that. In jurisdictions which fully equate civil unions with real marriage, it is still not enough. It never will be.

Much of their music is. I was an oblivious fan in my delusional teen years, but it became apparent what it was all about when Mercury became more and more militant about his predilections. Their "music" turns my stomach nowadays for this reason.
The bennies should cost more because of the higher risk lifestyle. It should be the same as smokers vs non smokers for life/health insurance. Single vs married for auto insurance, etc. You want bennies, then pay more.

Yes, homos are a bizarre aberration and their lifestyle is so unnatural and grotesque from my Hetero perspective. No, I don’t believe in your fearful conspiracy theory that they want to take over the world.
Sorry for being controversial on this subject on FreeRepublic, but I think we need to be realistic about their intent and I still maintain that Homo Shirt-Lifter Marriage is more about BENEFITS and socialist greed than anything else.

The fact that they want to “degrade” the institution of marriage by allowing men-men and woman-woman marriages [SO THEY CAN GET SPOUSAL BENEFITS AS I SAID] does NOT necessarily mean they want to destroy Marriage for others. They’re just polluting/diluting the definition of Marriage within society, but if heteros wish to get married and lead “normal” lives, I don’t think most homos are militant against them as you portray.
Evidently you don’t know any homos personally. I have known several through friends and none of them wanted to attack the institution of Marriage. Rather, many just want to be left alone and not ridiculed by society. Granted, some are “in-your-face” about their gayness and those are the truly pathetic ones.
A friend of a friend of mine and his “boyfriend” adopted a child (boy) to start a so-called family. That is sooo wrong in my mind because the boy had NO CHOICE in the matter but to end up in a household with “Adam & Steve” as their Dads. Ugggh! I do believe that should be totally illegal, but unfortunately it is not.
For other shirt-lifters and pillow-biters, if they’re not adopting little boys as their “sons,” and doing their butt-plumbing in private, why should I care what they do as long as they don’t bother me? I see them as a bit tweaked, but what can I do about it?

In short, you need to realize that the Homo Marriage movement is, in fact, more of as greedy socialist BENEFIT GRAB than anything else as I stated.
1. The Queen song is used by football teams all the time. Do you REALLY believe if the song were about homos, American football teams would embrace it? Not!
2. Being “on top” in any sport or as a singing group or on top of the corporation is a common figure of speech. If you want to read gayness into those lyrics, you have a far richer imagination than I do. If you can find one interview where Freddie Mercury stated that song was about gays dominating the world, I’ll agree with you, but you won’t find it.
3. The Group Queen, if I recall correctly, only had one Homo (Freddie Mercury). The rest were heteros. Do you really think the 4 other Hetero band members were pumping the “CHAMPIONS” song too because they, as heteros, wanted homos to dominate the world? This is really a stretch on your part.
4. That Queen song was written in the 70’s when there was no such thing as the gay angst we have now. Gays quietly minded their business and were rarely “in-your-face” about their gayness. There were no Gay & Lezzie Studies requirements in the universities. So your “Gay Domination of the World” conspiracy theory is simply not fitting for that time period in case you haven’t noticed.
5. Comparing gays to a fascist Hitler is really going too far, if not delusional. Think of the classic view of homos as swishy limp-wristed and feminine... What’s the connection with a macho, aggressive, cruel Hitler who killed 6 million Jews and a bunch of shirt-lifters in America? Do you really fear them as much as you would fear a second-coming of Hitler?
The only similarity with Hitler would be the Hitler NAZIS were the “National Socialist Party” The Gay Marriage movement ALSO has socialist (FREE BENEFITS) underpinnings as I’ve been trying to get you to understand.
Again, I’m NOT defending HOMOS here. I just think you need to learn more before you post.
