May this trigger the NSA and DOD to hunt every Anonymous member down and execute them.

Anonymous has done more to aid those that want to regulate the internet than any other event or group.

Can’t open the link, but it’s easy to guess why Stratfor was targeted.

Stratfor is reliable and impartial in its analysis. The hackers didn’t go after Globalsecurity.org, which is a Left-leaning site.

I think this offense should be the equivalent of stealing, or disabling, a man's horse in the old West in the 1800s and should be treated the same.

You would think, being the sort of organization they are, that they would have better security. That kind of goes with the territory, doesn’t it?

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if it turned out that “anonymous” was being run out of the pentagon as a sort of fast and furious for the internet. Get people all riled up so that they demand more government cyber-policing.

I get STRATFORs free newsletters, so no exposure here but this just pisses me off. It’s going to end up like the cities that prohibit selling spray paint to kids, everyone gets punished for the misdeeds of a few.

860,000 sets of contact info plus 75,000 credit cards would not come anywhere close to 200GB, even uncompressed.

Gosh golly, these slick HaXXorz got my STRATFOR password. Wow. Now they'll be able to post stuff to the site they apparently hate under my name. At least until I change it.

This one is actually sort of peculiar. STRATFOR is a private strategy analysis website, nothing more. So 50,000 people who subscribe to it work for the government. So what? I'm guessing this is a crime of opportunity, not of ideology. And a cheap crime it is. Precisely how they expect to overthrow The System by enriching the Russian Business Network and the Chinese fake credit card manufacturers is a little hazy to me. Logic is apparently not the strong suit here.

Normally I'd ask them to say hello to the Secret Service for me but given this administration's penchant for ignoring crime that tends to be in their political favor, I won't hold my breath.
