why thanks for trying to turn a thread about the killing of this park ranger into a flame war.
p.s. I’d leave you on the side of the road
Good luck on the chandelier. I was told by some cabinet makers who came back to retrofit some doors for us that it took the electricians 3 days to hang that chandelier (we were 3rd owners of the place). It had about 21 arms — each fitted with a volley-ball sized crackle-glass globe. It weighed a ton. There was a smaller version in the dining room.
The house had been originally built by a doctor from Bellevue whose wife found out that she didn’t like living in the woods.
Exactly, and a good example when the last ranger to die by gunfire took place in 2002 in AZ:
Ranger Kristopher Eggle was shot and killed while he and several U.S. Border Patrol Agents attempted to apprehended two armed, illegal aliens.
The suspects had fled from Mexican authorities into Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Arizona at 1400 hours. The Mexican authorities called the Border Patrol and notified them of the suspects. A Border Patrol helicopter in the area located the suspects and directed Ranger Eggle and Border Patrol Agents to the area.
One of the suspects was apprehended without incident, but the second suspect opened fire with an AK-47 rifle. Ranger Eggle was struck below his vest, causing a fatal wound. The suspect then fled on foot south toward the Mexican border. He ran to approximately fifty yards from the border, where approximately 30 to 50 Mexican officers from numerous agencies opened fire from Mexico killing him. A medivac helicopter was sent to the scene, but Ranger Eggle had already succumbed to his wounds.
The suspect who was arrested during the incident was sentenced to 15.5 years in prison.

Well, that is wicked high...
What a strange answer. No, if you died suspiciously I’d want a full autopsy and if folks tried to get in the way I’d want them questioned. That would apply even if they lived in a foreign country, and I don’t particularly care what their religion is.
I would have taken the chandelier :- )
I believe so.
His family said he loved to hike, and died doing what he loved. As I recall, he wasn’t from the Pacific Northwest but from somewhere back east.
His body was discovered prone, lying on the ground. The people who found him as first thought he was sleeping. The problem with “just sat there and died of hypothermia” is it doesn’t result in a body covered with bruises.
ROFLOL, LOL, good one.
“The problem with just sat there and died of hypothermia is it doesnt result in a body covered with bruises.”
Stumbling around in the woods after your coordination goes does.
He could have been lost, or had a stroke. Both would have resulted in sitting down and succumbing to hypothermia.
Good point about the bruises. The article I read didn’t say where the bruises were primarily on his body, but someone who signed off on the death certificate was concerned enough to state thereon that the cause of death was undetermined.
An earlier report stated the Ranger had just set up a roadblock/checkpoint, but didn’t say why it was set up.
Just a SWAG: Illegal Alien protecting Cartel drugs.
More here:
MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK, Wash. - Investigators have a “strong person of interest” in the fatal shooting of a Mount Rainier National Park ranger Sunday. Detectives are looking for 24-year-old Benjamin Colton Barnes, according to a flyer being passed around by law enforcement at the scene.

The bureaucracies always want an autopsy. Its job security for them.
The only real question is whether foul play was involved. If he was lost or had a stroke doesn’t matter except to the family, and those govt weenies who want to protect their jobs.
what a horrible thing to happen during the Christmas season...two young dtrs...shameful that we can't rid society of these creeps....
God bless this young family and their friends.....
Wow! Now I know what was happening today. My hubby and I live on the road to Mt. Rainier in Graham. We went to a friends house today to watch the Hawks game, etc., and while we were on our way, there were BUNCHES of sherrif SUV’s flying down the road toward Mt. Rainier. Stopped to get gas near the Pierce County Sheriffs office on Meridian in Puyallup, and a couple MORE SUV’s came flying out of there. One looked like a well equipped Hummer! Wondered what the heck was going on. Now I know.
No. She had set up a road block to stop a guy that had run from another ranger. The perp stopped, jumped out and shot her.
