House Speaker John Boehner will face a challenge in the GOP primary next year, Fox News has confirmed.
26-year-old David Lewis, who does not live in Boehner's Ohio district, has filed with the Butler County Board of Elections (in Boehner's home county) to challenge the speaker on March 6.
Lewis is a Tea Party loyalist who lives in Clermont County on the east side of Cincinnati.

Finally....some good news! Now on to the RINO cesspool...the U.S. Senate...
Excellent.
F*** Yeah. I wish I lived in Ohio so I could vote for Lewis.
Let’s be optimistic and assume Boehner is gone. Who’s “turn” is it next to be Speaker? Another RINO? AFAIK, none of the House elite are staunch Conservatives.
That’s the thing — I’m not sure it will matter if he’s defeated unless there’s a push to get a conservative speaker. If there is, let’s do that regardless of what happens to Boehner.
It’ll take some time to weed ‘em out.
The Pendulum is just starting to swing to the right...
How good is David Lewis, what are his qualifications, and is he likely to beat Boner and the Democrat challenger?
26 seems pretty young, unless he already has some accomplishments under his belt.
I certainly agree that Boner needs to be kicked to the curb, but we want to be sure to do it.
A 26 year old from Cleremont County? Get real.
I live in Boehner’s district, he’s not going anywhere. He has deep roots here and people in Southwest Ohio tend to be very loyal. This is not a serious challenge.
Allen West Bump!!
.
If we get another 40 seats Ryan would probably get the Speakership.
Lets hope and PRAY that Patriotic Republicans all over America send this man contributions to fight Boehner.
We all KNOW that Boehner, stuck in Congress for this many years has had the chance to establish connections with all the Machers and has taken advantage of all the opportunities afforded serial political criminals like him (long time incumbents) to feather his own nest.
None of the careerist pukes want to get fired. Boehner’s head drying out on the top of a pike would be a nice reminder to his successor that the base has had enough of quislings.
“I live in Boehners district, hes not going anywhere. He has deep roots here and people in Southwest Ohio tend to be very loyal. This is not a serious challenge.”
Like Lindsey Graham in SC then. And therein lies the problem. Tribalism over patriotism.
If he stays in Congress, at least let us have a challenger for the position of Speaker. Boehner has proven inadequate to the task on every level.
Buh-bye, grim weeper....
I will be sending Mr. Lewis a campaign contribution. (Michele Bachmann for Speaker!)
I’m not sure if he’s up to it, but I’d propose McCotter.
Lindsee has the support of the Democrats in SC, they won't run anybody against him. And since we have open primaries, the 'rats cross over and vote against any challengers he has.
Lindsee doesn't get in on MY vote.
