LARGO - Is it a crime to wish bad karma on someone? A Pinellas County teenager says she was suspended from school and charged with a crime just for posting a karma comment on her Facebook page.

Allie Scott is a junior at Osceola High School. The 16 year old says it all started in the school parking lot last month when she parked her brother's car in another girl's spot. She was asked to move it, and when she did at the end of the day, the car had been scratched up with a key.

Allie Scott
^^^^^^^^

Bet’cha! Bet’cha! Bet’cha! that Allie is white!

They hammer white kids on imaginary crimes so they can even out the statistics on blacks who are the real criminals of the schools.

Happy New Year. LOL. Soon there will probably be a law against that >.08 = PWUI (Posting while under the influence).

They could use it for probable cause for something, and they'll be coming for you just like Obama wants to do if you use a false name on FaceBook or Yahoo. They call it fraud against a corporation.

Facebook is a license for them to collect, copyright, and own your life and sell it to marketeers. I refuse to join. Once there they accumulate your info and you lose control on what they do with it.

This girl apparently has a high-powered attorney. Good for her. The prosecutor is a jerk if he even entertains the thought of prosecuting her. Stalking????

I can see a lawsuit coming, a big one.

Schools call the cops all the time now. Taypayers spend big bucks for school administrators who refuse to exercise any judgement on their own. Why not just hire a clerical worker to do their jobs? Anybody can pick up a phone and call the cops. They don’t need someone who gets paid big bucks to do that.

“So what?”

Huh? So are you saying its fine with you to have American citizens face criminal charges at taxpayer expense (not civil) because Facebook says we gave them a false name and lied to them?

Criminality for lying to the the authorities we elect is one thing (which I don’t always agree with either). But lying to a profit center that wants desperately to sell our privacy should at our convenience.

The real threat to our democracy....is coming from out of control crony run government that gives global private corporations the right turn the USA public into criminals at their whim and for profit.

I just handed you your defense against such bogus fraud charges — if you are an astute enough “politicalone” to use it...

It’s time to close government schools. Let those who can teach get good jobs in private education. The rest can flip burgers and drop fries.

She didn't identify who she wished the bad karma on. Does that count?

I would think so. Lack of a specific person's name seems similar to lack of a dead body in a murder case. Corpus delicti, I believe it's called (IANAL).

Of course, due to the First Amendment, wishing bad karma is not a crime in any case, the law be damned (and Pinellas County and the State of Florida). (I'm trying to start the year with good karma.)
