The reasons for Oslo's demise are complex and reveal unbridgeable gaps betwen Israel and the PA.
Veteran Middle East correspondent Robert Fisk may have been a little premature when he said on 20 September:
It's over: the "peace process", the "road map", the "Oslo agreement"; the whole fandango is history.Personally, I think "Palestine" is a fantasy state, impossible to create now that the Israelis have stolen so much of the Arabs' land for their colonial projects.
The real reasons for Oslo's demise are far deeper and more complex - revealing unbridgeable gaps between Israel and the PLO in reaching any agreement with regard to the following issues after failed on and off negotiations extending over the last 19 years:
Israel's demands that

Direct negotiations between Israel and Jordan (and possibly Egypt) and within the framework of Security Council resolutions 242 and 338 and their existing peace treaties - will involve no-one - Arab or Jew - having to leave his current home unless he voluntarily wishes to do so.I can't imagine why Egypt wouldn't want Gaza or Jordan want the West Bank.
I love how people use passive voice, or Israel as subject with no object as if things just happen, without being touched by human hands.
Israel gets rocketed. (leave out who does it)
The Peace Process is over (as if the Arab terrorists have nothing to do with continuing violence.)

I love double posts
“Palestine” shall ALWAYS be a fantasy state, as there is no will or intention on the part of the various bands of terrorists to form a viable government. Even if the Israelis could be persuaded to give up all right, title and interest in what is now Israel, and the bands of thugs occupied the territory, there would STILL not be any “Palestine”. And whatever improvements the Israelis have erected, would be left empty, deteriorating hulks in less than a generation, as that tormented land reverts to the wilderness it was a century ago.
Deport all israeli arabs and all non-citizen arabs to gaza, then wall it up. After that let them have their palestinian state in gaza then if they want it.
How about make the Hebrews go to Hebron and the Arabs go to Arabia?
But then that would empty out Jordan, Syria, Egypt and Lebanon and a third of Africa at the present state of Jihad expansion.
The problem is the Arabs want the Jews decapitated but the Jews don’t want to be decapitated.
And the Arabs only want to compromise, they will settle for cutting off half their heads, silly Jews just will not compromise. So its the Jews fault.
Yes, I hate them too, especially when I do them.
apologies.
