I’m sorry, I must disagree with you about the motive of liberals being that they think they are smarter..Their motives come from the lust for power over other people because they KNOW they are not smarter and if others are allowed the freedom to develop, they (liberals) will be replaced in their positions by folks who truly are smarter. Actually, enslavement of others is their goal and once such dictators have theirs, they work to prevent anyone from challenging their position..That is not how free societies work. Leftists rarely act on acceptable morality such as honestly thinking they are smarter..They work in the darkness of deviancy where lives and freedom are destroyed.

DarkWolf was correct. working in a Liberal Mecca, I have observed this for years. If the liberal was a poet having brain surgery (pick your own metaphor), they would be instructing the brain surgeon on how to perform the operation. Regardless of the fact that they have no skill or training in that area of expertise, just the fact that they are an enlightened liberal with such an extraordinary intellect, makes them superior to you no matter what. You, the “expert” are just a “tool” with the brains of a screwdriver, for them to use and direct.
Spot on, absolutely. It is why liberals constantly use academia (truly stupid academia who can be manipulated by the purse strings of grants & stipends to say what is needed) to push their “more intelligent” ends, always with an eye to their greater power and lining their pockets in the bargain. To be fair to the prior poster, along with this manipulation comes groupthink narcissism of stupid liberals, who are then consoled by their “superior” knowledge as exhibited by the “science” they say support them. It’s how stupid actors get held up as “expert witnesses” when normally they would be assigned things to say emotively.
The modern usage for this approach has now matured to “Statism”, academia AND govt fiefdoms, aided by crony market capitalists with their hands in the till (and don’t forget the hedge funds) controlled by...liberals.
