A drastic departure from his usual image as a stoic, policy-drive candidate, Gingrich cried more than once in recalling how even today he still cries when he sings Christmas carols. GOP pollster Frank Luntz asked the tear-evoking question.
"I get teary-eyed everytime we sing Christmas carols," he said, starting to choke up. "My mother sang in the choir and loved singing in the choir. And I don't know if I should admit this, but when I was very young she made me sing in the choir and we had pictures of me at a very young age singing in the choir."

This is really touching. While I never really was a Newt fan I now have to say I’m hoping this man wins. The Obama campaign is giddy because they think Romney will be the nominee. In fact they are now prepping the un-aired Kennedy ads that were suppose to run against Mitt.

FWIW:
http://articles.latimes.com/2011/may/19/news/la-pn-newt-gingrich-dancing-queen-20110519
Reporting from Ames, Iowa It was midway through Newt Gingrich’s speech in Ames Thursday when a cellphone went off. As the soaring chorus of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” reverberated through the Olde Main Brewery everyone looked around for the culprit. This time it was the candidate.
After sheepishly shutting off the ringer and slipping the phone back into his pocket, Gingrich muttered something about forgetting to turn off his ringer and continued with his remarks.
Later the former House speaker confessed to reporters that he was a huge fan of the movie “Mamma Mia” and a staff member had programmed the ABBA anthem into his phone.
“My wife warned me this would happen,” he said. He added that “Mamma Mia” was “an amazing film.”

Really? I’ll tell you what bud, I have worked in the coal mines for 35 years. I have fired some of the toughest S.O.B.’s that you will ever find. I have asked people to take their coat off when I was going to fire them because I was afraid they may have a gun. I’m no panzie and at times had to literally fight my way to the top. But when I look at a video like this it brings a tear to my eye. It is real and Newt is the real thing as well.
Pound it Pal, I want a real man that believes so profoundly in our country to shed a tear. You will never see Romney nor Paul in a clip like this.
GO NEWT!!!!!!!!!!!

The Liberal News-Media (now joined by their The Usual E-RINO Suspects) will suffer an "epic fail" ...
as they DESPERATELY try to force a "faux disqualification" for Newt Gingrich in the upcoming Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire Primary.
I'm confident that Newt Gingrich will "decimate" Mitt Romney and Dr. Winkie (Ron Paul) in South Carolina and Florida ...
======================================
How many successful POTUS candidates have ever won the Iowa Caucus ?
In the last thirty-two (32) years ... only ONE Democrat (Obama in 2008) and ONE Republican (Bush-43 in 2000) have won BOTH the Iowa Caucus and the Presidential Election ...
Of course, that doesn't include "sitting" Presidents (Reagan, Clinton) who won Iowas on their way to a second term election ...
That presents odds of TWO (2) Iowa Caucus wins out of SIXTEEN (16) possible Presidential Election Candidates !
Equivalent to a Whopping twelve-point-five (12.5) percent success rate ...
How many successful POTUS candidates have ever won the New Hampshire Primary ?
In the last thirty-two (32) years ... only ONE Democrat (Carter in 1976) and TWO Republicans (Reagan-1980 and Bush-41 in 1988) have won BOTH the New Hampshire Primary and the Presidential Election ...
Of course, that doesn't include "sitting" Presidents (Reagan, Clinton) who won New Hampshire on their way to a second term election ...
That presents odds of THREE (3) New Hampshire wins out of FIFTEEN (15) possible Presidential Election Candidates !
Equivalent to a Whopping thirteen-three-three (13.33) percent success rate ...

In the general I am A B O, and that includes David Berkowitz or joran Vandersloot if they were running against the scourge of our time Obama.
If newt is the nominee - i will volunteer, put yard signs up, do my usual election fraud monitoring, and spend 24/7 on his behalf against the obamunist.

I only caught about the last 15 minutes. I’m a Mom. A SAHM to boot. I could really relate, lost my Mom 5 1/2 years ago to ovarian cancer. Also really could relate to the story about the Mom with three kids at three different school on 9/11 though I only had two. Went and picked up youngest from pre-K and went to elementary school to daughters second grade class and stayed the rest of the day helping keep things “semi-normal” for all the kid that did NOT get picked up that day.
I think as he has gotten older, become a grandfather, he has changed a lot and he has always been VERY smart, working with O’Neal and Reagan and then with Clinton, don’t know about the rest of you, but the 80’s and 90’s were pretty good years . . . well 80’s after cleaning up after that idiot Carter.
Say what you want . . . I like Newt and prefer him over the rest of the current slate of candidates.

It is no longer shocking that a pro-Gingrich article becomes a springboard for bashing mormonism.
I can't stand Romney for his non-conservative positions. Isn't that enough, without needing to slam his faith?
