There is an inverse relationship between employment and the Minimum Wage,driven by simple economics.

How does a man or woman work for the time it takes to get married, produce 2 children, and yet still make minimum wage. He or she must be a horrible worker to never succeed in getting a raise over the course of this time frame. No pity here.

Exactly. If a man is trying to support a family of 4 on the minimum wage, I submit said man must be well below average intelligence, is unambitious, unreliable, uneducated, and generally lackadaisical. He really has NO BUSINESS having a “family of four” as he is not capable of supporting it. This woe-is-me thinking is what has put the USA onto the entitlement footing in which 47% of Americans have no net IRS tax liability. It explains the ascent of Barack Obama and the democrat left.
All those who believe the minimum wage accomplishes something positive should be asked why don’t we just pass a law saying that all employees should be able to specify what they wish to earn per hour and their employee is required to pay it. That way we would never have to worry about raising the minimum wage again.
