The number of officers killed in the line of duty jumped 13 percent in 2011 compared with the year before - and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder condemned the increase as a devastating and unacceptable trend that he blamed on illegal firearms.

By contrast, there were a total of 27 fewer firearms-related deaths of law enforcement officers in 2008 versus 2007. I don't recall the DOJ bragging about the 40% decrease back in 2008.
Again, given the total number of US law enforcement personnel the 27 decrease in 2008 is statistically insignificant.

173 Police Officers Killed
200+ US & Mexican Citizens Killed by Eric Holder

Some boffins in the social sciences should commission a study as to whether criminals obey the law.

Wonder how many were the black? After all, he loves talking about race......except when the facts are ugly.
Odd how the MSM has missed that connection too.../s
